"I got a superior value for what I expected. Another contractor gave me an estimate. Fortunately, CSR conducted a more thorough inspection (knowing that there might be more issues) and identified problems that had I ignored, I would have wasted my money. Compared to other contractors I have used, CSR followed through on their planned work schedule, kept me "in the loop" on the status of work completion and any complications, and maintained a neat work area. As I have not encountered any insects in my home since the work was completed, CSR instilled my trust in them to perform any future work."

"This company is awesome. They arrived on time, explained the work that was being performed and applied for rebates associated with energy saving tasks. They responded to a concern about my furnace and returned promptly when called. It is comforting to have a contractor who is honest, reliable and meticulous with the work performed and clean up afterward. I highly recommend Brand New Construction."

"I had several companies come to our house and help us figure out how to fix water leaking into our basement (nearly every time it rained). All 3 companies told me that we needed an interior drain system, with a variation on the type/cost. 4-Ever Water-Tite's bid was in the middle. What I liked best was how they were very familiar with my city (knew the inspector, mentioned other projects in the area, etc.). They also didn't try to get me to install stuff I didn't need, like a sump pump (another company stated we had to put one in but Bob told us it wasn't necessary for our city's drainage system).
We paid a deposit and they came to do the project less than a week later. The project took 1 and 1/2 days (due to city inspection). We had one snafu during the project (water line broke and water gushed into my basement - which wasn't their fault at all) and they handled it incredibly well with no damage or additional cost to us.
After they were done, we had a contractor come in several days later to replace the drywall that was taken out to install the drainage system. The contractor had no affiliation with 4-Every Water-Tite and he told us that they did an excellent job and "treated our house like it was their own."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Framing with metal studs can be significantly faster than using wooden studs, provided you have some experience working with the material. While you can use virtually instant pneumatic nailers with wood, metal requires installing screws. However, because metal is lighter, straighter, usually comes cut-to-length, and doesn't require sorting for the best pieces, you can save significant time using metal instead of wood.

There are a variety of second-story deck privacy ideas depending on your budget and aesthetic. For starters, you might consider fencing or tall privacy railing that masks a good portion of the open deck. A pergola or an awning can provide additional cover and shade. Outdoor curtains are an easy way to add or remove privacy at your convenience, plus they’re a wallet-friendly way to decorate your deck.

Installing a tongue-and-groove wall requires similar techniques to those associated with installing shiplap. However, because of the precision necessary to make each board fit perfectly and the increased material prices, the cost is higher than that of shiplap installations. Expect to spend between $2 and $6 more per square foot for tongue-and-groove walls versus shiplap ones.

Learning how to frame a house includes picking the right lumber for the job. Most people will want to pick pine, spruce, or fir for the framing. These types of lumber are affordable and produce sturdy framing for structures. Look for kiln-dried lumber to reduce the risk of shrinkage or insect damage after installation. As part of what’s included in framing a house when you hire a professional, the contractor should order the lumber, so you don’t have to worry about finding the right lumber.

Enhances property value, ensures safety, and provides a sound basis for future construction.
