Thank you [Member Name Removed] for your feedback, we greatly appreciate it.Service Provider Response
We tried to reach out by phone, however the phone number provided to us was in-valid when we called. Next, we sent a message through Angie's list asking you to call our office so we could set you up in our system and get you set up with an appointment. You responded that you would not be calling us. In the inquiry you had not asked for a quote, if you had we could have provided you with a price. With you refusing to call our office so we could discuss your project in more detail we were unable to assist you. We are very sorry you are unsatisfied, if you are still looking for your hose spigot to be replaced and would like to discuss pricing please give us a call at 586-726-9444 and we would be happy to assist.Service Provider Response
Dear Mr [Member Name Removed] It is your option to choose which ever contractor you like based on price, appearance, experience or reviews which as you can see we have almost all A’s because we always put our customers first. I feel you have unfairly graded us with a F when we came out and gave you a FREE estimate for the plumbing repairs you described. When you attempted to calculate a price for these repairs you made it painfully obvious you have never owned or managed a business, here is a short list of a few things you failed to mention. 1. The cost of advertising “ Angie’s List” that you used to locate us. 2. Office staff to take your calls through multiple phone lines, work with your schedule and then give you a call prior to their arrival. 3. We send out a licensed plumber in a uniform with a marked vehicle so you are aware of who your letting into your home. 4. A licensed plumber in a vehicle with benefits cost me close to $60.00 per hr. 5. When you calculate hours on a job you forgot windshield time of one hour. “Drive time between jobs that has to be calculated into the estimate”. This is just a few things you missed so as you can see when I send a plumber out for a estimate we calculate a lot more then just time and material. The plumbers have a price book in there vehicle to help them with the estimate process and that’s why as a company policy they don’t give a break down of parts and labor. Mr [Member Name Removed] you can continue to give hard working, honest companies failing grades because you feel an estimate is to high even though you never gave us a opportunity to show you the quality of work we can do. Angie’s List members are intelligent enough to look past your review and judge for themselves based on our past performances. Thank You Ron Alexander, President Shelby Mechanical LLCService Provider Response
We normally only give estimates over the phone when asked for a ballpark number for work the customer describes to us. Then our next step would be to send out a technician with the proper equipment to determine the problem. My guess would be that this customer didn’t want to pay a service call for us to send out a technician to locate the problem. You are welcome to search our company’s history and see we carry a vary high rating and always put our customers first. Ron Alexander President Shelby Mechanical LLC
