When we requested an estimate with A-1, they came right on time (actually came earlier because they were already in the area) and listened patiently to everything we wanted to get done. They took care of the city permit for our deck and fence while we took care of the HOA permit, which made it very easy for us since we only had to manage one of the permits. Cesar and the team at A-1 was very responsive to my emails, texts, and calls which I really appreciated. When building the actual fencing and decking, the workers were really polite and meticulous. Our house overlooks a pretty steep cliff and our door leading to the deck is very high, so I applaud them for being able to create something so beautiful for us given the conditions they were facing. Throughout the process, Cesar updated me on the timeline of everything and anytime I had a question, I could always call him and have my questions answered. "Freedom Fence & Deck did a fantastic job replacing our 35-year-old wood fence with a beautiful white vinyl fence. Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. The fence materials are extremely high quality—the vinyl feels very thick and sturdy, unlike the kind sold at the home improvement stores. And the new fence has completely transformed the look of our property—we’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. "The team Fence & Deck sent to install a fence in my backyard—an area measuring about 1/6th of an acre—were quick, efficient, and friendly. The first team member showed up just before 7:30 to start dismantling the old fence. By 8 AM, the rest of the team was hard at work. It was a quieter process than I thought, to be honest—which was great, as my neighbors work from home. They were finished by 2 PM; had cleaned up, packed up the old fence and their equipment and were gone. There were issues with installing the new fence: trees had grown into the fence path, most of them belonging to the neighbors. The team presented me with possible solutions at each point, so I could get the fence I wanted—or as close as was possible given the obstacles.
