The job went great. It had to be pushed back from Monday 2 days due to rain. I was called early Monday morning and told they'd be out on Wednesday. They showed up early Wednesday and got right to work after walking the job. Very polite, efficient and professional. Rustic Fence did the original fence 26 years ago. A pleasure to work with.

I hired Rustic fence based on a referral received from a long time resident in Howard Count that owned horses. Dwayne came out and provided a detailed estimate. Unlike other companies that wanted to install pressure treated pine, Dwayne explained how proper selection of the type of wood used for the fence would result in the fence having a longer service life.
The work started and ended on time. The crew cleaned up everything after they were done and left us with a beautiful new fence!

I hired Rustic Fence because I want to support local businesses when ever I can, however my experience was so bad I will never use them again and strongly recommend that anyone else thinking of hiring them consider their decision very carefully first.
When Dwayne first came out to do the estimate he was rude when I asked him to walk the fence line with me to look for other places I might have missed that needed to be repaired. He said to me 'don't you know what's wrong with your own fence?' That should have been a warning to me not to hire this company. 
We agreed on a day for the work to be done because Rustic Fence would only work Monday through Friday, not on a Saturday as I wanted.  The fencing that needed repairs is four board horse fencing and the gates to the field are kept locked so I had to be there to give them access and be sure that they did not let the horses out. They did not show up when they were supposed to and I had taken the day off work to be at home.  I had to call Rustic Fence to ask where they were, they did not call me. Dwayne told me it was too wet to work because it had showered the night before. That was nonsense. The grass was damp early in the morning and by 10am it was dry. I suspect they had something else to do and instead of being up front about it he used a light shower as an excuse to push my work back.
Dwayne did not tell me that he would not accompany his work crew and five hispanic men I had not met before showed up the following day. That was a second day that I had to take off work. One of the crew spoke enough English to have a conversation with, one spoke some English, the rest spoke none.
The one fellow that spoke the best English, and I assume was the crew leader, had a cell phone glued to his ear the whole time and a silly grin on face. Clearly it was not a business call. He was not paying attention to what the other men were doing. They damaged face boards trying to pry them off with a crow bar, they nailed replacement fence boards up crooked and the boards were of poor quality and have since warped and cracked, they used a come-along to pull corner brace posts apart to replace a cross brace rather than fit the length of the cross brace to the space between posts and the too-long cross brace eventually pushed the center post of the three-post corner out of the ground. All in all they did more damage than repairs. I had to pay another company to make repairs to the damage done by Rustic Fence.
Later on, after all this, I had a couple of neighbors tell me they had heard poor reports about Rustic Fence and wouldn't hire them. I wish they had told me that before I did.

The guys came in and removed all of the old fence around our 3/4 acre back yard.  It took them only 3 days to do all of the work including putting up the dog wire around the entire perimeter.  They also installed a new rail fence around our swimming pool with wire.  They installed 3 gates where needed.  Everything went extremely well.  We are extremely happy with the whole job.

Rustic Fence came when they said they would, and were readily available. Duane our main contact gave us very good advice and was very mindful of the property line. They even had to remove more brush in order to keep the fence as straight as possible as we have a lot of trees. The team was fast efficient and went above our expectation of completing the fence the same day.

FIRST OF ALL, THEY WERE THE MOST COURTEOUS OF THE COMPANIES THAT WE CONTACTED ABOUT THE PROJECT. THEY PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE WITHIN ONE DAY OF BEING CONTACTED AND, WHILE QUOTING A 1.5 TO 2.5 WEEKS TO START THE JOB. THEY GOT STARTED 1.5 WEEKS LATER AND COMPLETED THE PROJECT IN 1.5 DAYS. THE WORK LOOKS TERRIFIC AND THE WORKERS WERE RESPECTFUL OF THE PROPERTY AND CLEANED UP PROMPTLY.
