"I’ve used Allen and his team on multiple projects. He is my go-to contractor because I can trust him to tell me what I need and what I don’t need to have done in a project. His prices may be higher than others but the quality is worth it. In this most recent project, Allen took my laundry area from concrete and concrete block, to a fully finished laundry room complete with new appliances, counters and cabinets for storage and folding, a space for drying clothes to hang, and a closed off utility space. Additionally, he changed a half-bath to a full bathroom with 5-ft shower. To do this, Allen, Jeff, and Ryan had to dig up the concrete floor to move pipes; had to replace copper piping, and reroute ductwork. In doing so, they found that my dryer had been venting into my ceiling rather than outside, which was a fire hazard. I am fortunate that they found this. As the project was wrapping up, I had them paint and add new flooring in the family room adjacent to the laundry and bathrooms. I also had them replace my backyard fencing, relocate the outside spigot and hose attachment. As with all of my projects, Allen’s the attention to detail was beyond compare. He kept me in the loop when problems or decisions need to be made."

"Good job inside, very poor job in garage. Seemed more interested in proposing other projects than finishing one contracted for."

"Thomas M was an excellent technician and did great work fixing all the basement windows around the house. These windows are difficult to find a replacement but he was able to repair and repaint them. The other technician was Pablo He worked on caulking all the windows around the house and he did some filling work on the garage sliding doors You did a good job, but Pablo left his trash around and didn’t pick up after himself so Thomas M and I did that on the third day. It took three days total, but it was two men for two days and one man for a 3/4 of a day actually. Although I’ll probably get charged for a full day, since it went past noon. The labor portion is the most expensive and a little higher than I initially anticipated. So, I was hoping for a quicker turnaround, but overall quality work was completed. I would highly recommend Thomas M as a technician to do future work. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly and does a great job. I would hire again but include more details in the contract language."

Job for that day as done didn't matter what time it was. The best remodeling experience great co"

"Devin and his wonderful crew are in the process of doing all of the remodeling work listed above, but I am so impressed with them I wanted to get some of this down now.
In mid-April/late May, I found evidence that there was a mouse in my house (ewww), and despite my best efforts, and hiring Orkin (I'll review them, too), I could never find/capture the darn thing. So, I decided I was going to hire a contractor to come "mouse-proof" my house, and while I was at it, I was going to create the kitchen/dining room, laundry room and bathroom I wanted. Just like we are taught, I selected 3 contractors to come and discuss the work I wanted done and to get estimates. One never showed, even though he made an appointment, one told me why I couldn't do the work I wanted done, and then there was Devin.
From the first time I spoke with Devin (first in email, then on the phone, then in person), I knew we would work well together. He never told me I *couldn't* do any of the things I wanted done, but he gave me a realistic idea of how much it was going to cost me. Then, he did a walkthrough of the house, and not only did he help me put my ideas into a realistic framework, he went the extra mile and went into my crawl space and found some structural damage that had to be repaired before any of the remodeling could be done. He was honest with me about how much the work would cost, and he and the guys have already improved the feel of the whole house by repairing the support structure on the house. Before Devin and his crew got to work, the floor slanted in places, and now the floor is completely level. The one other contractor that came to look at the house (and told me my remodel ideas were wrong), didn't even look at the support beams or the crawl space.
Once we had the price range set, he brought in a wonderful, patient, architect who drew up such good plans that I could actually visualize what my new space would look like, and then brought in an interior designer to help with the cabinets, appliances and look of the place.
Devin and his crew have been working on the house for a couple weeks now, and every time I go to look at it (I did mention that they are re-doing the bathroom, right?) there is something new and wonderful to see. One of the best things about the work is that they are cleaning up as they go. In fact, they built a wall between where they are doing the major work and where I was still living in the house (until the bathroom got gone) so that no dust or debris was in the living areas of the house. And, once I moved out due to lack of "facilities", they taped off my rooms to keep the dust out while they installed the lighting and while they worked on the bathroom.
The bottom line is, just based on the work that's been done so far, I would recommend Marvell Homes LLC to anyone who is looking to upgrade their home.
I'll update this review (hopefully with pictures) when the work is done.

So, the work is done, and I love my house! Life got in the way, and I couldn't get to this update as quickly as I wanted to, but I couldn't *not* finish this review.

The remodel came out better than I had ever hoped, and I *love* my new spaces! Devin and the guys turned my dinky little cramped house into a home I'm proud of. And he did it all within the budget he originally quoted me. Not only that, but he came back and fixed the one minor problem that cropped up after the job was done! Who *does* that these days?

I was so pleased with the work Devin and the guys did on the public rooms of the house, I've already started saving to have them work their magic on the bedrooms, and I wouldn't even *think* of using another contractor for anything I need done."

"Navid and the team did so many things for my house- EV charger installation in the garage, ceiling lights in several rooms, TV mount on a wall that needed extra supports (basically mounted on the wall that originally couldn't hold it). They also did re-doing fences and deck for the other house we own. All excellent work and Navid's attention to fine details were so much appreciated. He would suggest things I didn't think of when I asked for things - like symmetry of ceiling lights and locations to increase possible sales value, location of EV charger based on my height, and more and more. They clean after their work as well. Also the work is excellent. Highly recommended."

"We first used Chevy Chase Remodeling for a small bathroom remodel in the summer of 2017. After a positive experience with Steve, we decided to use them for a full house remodel at a new property. The extensive remodel included a two story addition (garage and bedroom), outdoor landscaping, installing a gas fireplace with built in shelving and the complete gut and remodel of the kitchen, basement, four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The workmanship throughout the entire job was exceptional. Their designer David provided innovative solutions that allowed us to open up the main level floor plan and redesign the kitchen layout. His plans for the addition were exactly as we envisioned. Steve and his team were quick to provide a solution to issues encountered in the remodel and were extremely accommodating. Chevy Chase Remodeling truly transformed this property into our dream home!"

"The consultation received was excellent! Michael Wiggs of City Renovations & Remodeling did an excellent job of educating me on basement design, specifically how to maximize space! City Renovations also provided appropriate conceptional design layout based upon my input within 24 hours. Michael Wiggs definitely knows his craft!"

"I hired D&V to put up a metal shed. They were fair in their pricing Maintained contact about what they were doing And friendly I will definitely check with them when I have more projects"

"Rafael from Omar's gave us a quote a year or two ago but we postponed the work until last Fall when we contacted him again. He was totally responsive and beat his original quote significantly, agreeing a major kitchen rehab and installation of new IKEA cabinets, removing old knee walls, moving and installing new sink and fridge--all for about $10,000. Rafael, his master cabinetmaker, Juan Carlos, and crew did an outstanding job, including moving electric panel and lots of rewiring... on time, on budget, and taking care of lots of little extras at no charge.  We had them take on several additional jobs, installing attic stairway, and, this Spring--faced with water seepage problems from roof and/or brick walls--we had them repoint all our brickwork outside, reseal roof, dig out around part of foundation, repaint exterior, install some shutters and paint front trim... all for only another $3,200 round figures--beating quotes of others who have lesser reputations.  We fully endorse Omar and his team and consider them among the very best contractors we've ever worked with on the renovations we have made of at least 4 antique homes here and in New England. I wish they were in New England!!"
