I just had G&S Garage's Joel and Steve installed new Garage door and tuned up my garage door opener. Without their inspection and recommendation to replace my old Garage door I wouldn't think even about it. They showed me problems with my old Garage door (30 years old door) and that the old door was causing problems to my new garage door opener to function. Anyway, they replaced my garage door and fixed garage door opener. Everything was done in a quick, professional and solid manner.

Their service was excellent. They were able to come to my house very quickly. They were very communicative. They are very easy to deal with and completed the job very quickly. I would like to give them an A+ if possible.

Since the construction part of the job wasn't their "norm," the owner Steve wanted to come take a look at the job himself after he had sent his employee Nestor to estimate the job. I had called them to find out when I could expect a quote, which is when Steve said he needed to see the job. Fair enough. Then Steve was going to be on vacation the following week further delaying when he could come out and give me an estimate. He called me a week later saying he was going to send his sub-contractor out to see the job b/c he was still out of town. The sub never called me. I left a message for Steve to let him know the sub hadn't contacted me and did he still want to quote on the job. I never heard back from him.

They scheduled it right away and met our scheduling needs. They tuned-up both doors ($49 ea), to include balancing, assessed did not need any new parts, and told us areas to keep an eye on in the long run.

Due to some shaking and screeching with my electric garage door and my general paranoia, I thought the time had come to get my garage door serviced. Accordingly, I went on Angie's list to get a tune up deal, for, while I am happy to spray WD-40 with the abandon of 4 year old who has found her mother's perfume, that is the extent of my handy skills, and I definitely lack the intelligence to assess springs and whatnot. The day after I purchased the deal the provider contacted me (before I even contacted him), which I very much appreciated and for which I assign professionalism points. He arranged to come on a date when I knew I would be available all day (as had other repair people coming for projects). We set a window in early afternoon (1-2PM). The provider called in the morning of the tune up and asked to reschedule to either earlier or later that day as they had overbooked the slot I had chosen. As I was going to be around all day, I was happy to accommodate. If I had had a less flexible schedule, it would have been a bit more awkward. It turned out that later was the chosen time (as I kind of suspected) from the schedule, and the tech, Nestor, called me 15--20 minutes before arriving @3 PM so I knew he was on his way. He did the tune up promptly and then, as we were checking out, asked if the rollers were older than 5 years (which they were) and recommended they be replaced as they were plastic. He gave me a price of $200 to do so (10 rollers). What I should have done was say, "Thanks for the recommendation! I'll think about it. Great job with the tune up!" and then checked Angie's List and the internet for guidance (it is what anyone of average intelligence or above would have done). However, I did not (which shows where my intelligence falls) but accepted and later checked Angie's list and chalked up another life learning experience as there are deals on Angie's list at half that price. (And on Amazon for a total of $150). Nestor did the work promptly and very professionally, and the door definitely runs much better than before so I have no issues with the quality of the work, which appears to be good. (Though if you have reservations about my ability to judge quality you are likely on sound ground.) I agreed to the price so that’s on me, but you, dear reader, can get a better deal.

After the cables and rails on my garage door broke over a holiday weekend, I called G&S first thing in the morning and they were able to send someone within a couple of hours. The technician, Nestor, called about 10 minutes before he arrived and showed up right on time. He provided an estimate for the work, which I thought was slightly high; but still reasonable. Before starting he asked me if I would consider replacing the entire door, but wasn't at all pushy about upselling. He got to work repairing the door and completed the job in about 2 hours. When he was done he cleaned up thoroughly, and was on his way. While I hope not to need their services again, if I do, I will certainly call G&S. Very easy to do work with, and very responsive.

Called this morning to schedule installation of a new garage door opener that I had purchased. Nestor came 1.5 hours later, perfectly on time and carried out the installation. He did a great job, and clearly understood the door opener very well even tho it wasn’t one his company supplied. He spent time showing me all the available features of the door opener, and thoroughly cleaned up all the parts from the old door opener. Definitely a grade A service, have no hesitation in recommending Nestor.

Work was done well.

Installer was very good. Professional, did good work, performed testing, went over the features of the new opener with me. No complaints at all. The scheduler was a piece of work. He made it so hard to get the install actually scheduled.

The tune-up was quick and easy. The technician pointed out that the bar across the top of the garage door was the incorrect one (too short), and as a result the garage door was starting to fold vertically in the middle, which when he pointed it out was all-too clear. He recommended replacing the bar and the result appears to be a straighter garage door and no further bending issues.

It went well, services was performed to a satisfactory level. Replaced all rollers (10) for the garage door (18 years old). Now very smooth opening and closing.

Replaced springs and rollers after one of the springs snapped. Did not compare prices, but the cost was transparent and seemed reasonable. Nestor was efficient and professional. He lubricated the rollers and gave me the option to replace - no pressure. Door is much smoother and quiet. Good investment

This company is great/brilliant. Called today about noisy/clattering garage door having difficulty opening in cold weather. Two technicians came a couple hours later, replaced old/decrepit garage door motor with unit amazingly advanced beyond what we replaced -- besides being almost silent. Techs were professional, friendly, courteous. Extra points for having new motor with them, no need for second visit.

Outstanding. I called on Sunday after the spring on my garage door broke. I scheduled a time for them to come out on Monday afternoon. They were prompt and had all the equipment and parts that they needed to replace the spring. Very professional and very fast! Thank you again.

Extremely well. Door needed urgently and they installed within 48 hours of my call. Others promised quick reply by G&S delivered! Good deal on insulated steel door with windows and decorative inserts. Quick, clean, courteous, professional.
