"One week prior to settlement, my water was tested as part of settlement and failed due to Total Coliform Bacteria being present in my well water.  After chlorinating the well, the water was retested and failed again for Total Coliform Bacteria.  Time was running out as I was scheduled to go to settlement within 1 week, so I contacted R&G Water Systems after reading through Angie's List.  Rick from R&G answered the telephone and I explained about the problem with Total Coliform Bacteria being present in my well water and that Bleach Chlorination did not kill the bacteria. 
Rick recommended and guaranteed that a Ultraviolet (UV) Light would completely eliminate the bacteria immediately in my well water.  He was also available immediately to install the unit on my house.  Wow - no waiting period. I gave Rick the key code to the lock box on the front of the house since it was empty and I could not meet Rick until the following day.  When I arrived, Rick was already gone, but the UV Light was already installed but not turned on yet.  Rick was contacted and he told me that he had just left the house and wanted to make sure all the plumbing connections were completely sealed and dry before turning on the system.  The house was put on bypass mode to bypass the water system until the next day when Rick arrived and turned on the system and started running the water through the water system and new UV Light. 
Rick took a sample of water to the test lab for water analysis.  The test came back positive for Total Coliform Bacteria again.  Rick retested the water a second time and took it back to the lab for retesting.  This time the Total Coliform Bacteria was eliminated and I received a good water test report just in time for settlement.  Rick's wife Georgina kept me informed by phone and email.  They were both very pleasant to deal and Rick demonstrated a high sense of urgency as he delivered an excellent job in a very timely manner.  I would highly recommend R&G Water Systems to anyone having a problem with their water.  Your water is very important and should be tested for safety since you are drinking, cooking and bathing in it everyday. R&G will make sure it is 100% safe for your family.  Thank You Rick & Georgina (R&G).  Frank & Karen V. really appreciate the work you guys did to make their water safe.

"People don’t plan to have their water pipe burst. Seeing as it was -10 degrees today it’s no surprise ours did, despite every effort to make sure the water in the pipes were moving. I was at a doctors appt and walked in to water bursting out of the kitchen ceiling in buckets! My mother was looking where to turn off the main water with no success. When I got to it, water had been fishing for over 30 minutes! Oh, did I mention this occurred around noon today, which happens to be a Friday? My insurance said to see if I could get a plumber here today to expose the burst, take a pic to prove it’s due to a frozen pipe, then fix it. He was concerned about me having to wait for a water mitigation crew to come out and said he could take care of that too. Unfortunately, we’d already booked one with our insurance, who are coming out tomorrow. The guys came and they were WONDERFUL!!!! They went right to work, cutting open the drywall surrounding the bursted pipe. Took pictures for me so I could send it to my insurance company and fixed it in no time. They were perfect gentlemen. It didn’t take long to see how kind, down to earth, professional and mindful of my concerns. Ya know how uncomfortable it can be not knowing who is coming in your home. I felt so comfortable with them. Wound up joking around with them as though I’d known them for years. The two guys who came were Ivan Perez and E’Nedino Diaz. Not only did they fix the reason for which they came, they even fixed a few issues we had in our upstairs bathroom. They did so professionally and efficiently. "Although we will have 3 bathrooms remodeled by VKB, they have already completed our master bath and have done a great job. Workmanship, is excellent, and they have been very flexible when we changed several design features as we were going along. Plus they do a stellar job cleaning up after themselves every night. Jason is the project manager and has been very responsive and has kept us informed on all aspects of the job. Eric, who is the lead hands-on workman, is excellent- knowledgable and skilled. "When we first met with Dave the consult was very informative and relaxing. There was no pressure and Dave listened to what we wanted in our kitchen and how we envisioned the final product. My wife's primary request was to have an island as the focal point of the kitchen, Dave simply said tell me what you what and we'll make it happen. Once we discussed our ideas, Dave explained the complete process and scheduled a time to meet with his design team. The design phase was the most enjoyable part of the project, we picked out cabinets, flooring and counter tops and were able to see the kitchen come to life in front of us. We absolutely loved the design and his design team were able to meet all of our requests. After a few days Dave was able to provide us a final estimate and a time table for the project. The first estimate was a little over our budget however Dave was wonderful working with us to make changes in order to get the project within budget. He was extremely patient and actually provided 6 different estimates in order for the project to meet our needs. After we agreed to move forward we met with Dave again to discuss final details and the time table for the remodel. He explained the complete process, including demolition, would take 3-4 weeks. A big concern with a two and five year old was not having a kitchen sink for weeks on end, Dave assured us that we would have a working sink within 2 weeks. When the project began Dave and his crew arrived at 8am and got right to work. Dave's crew was extremely friendly and very informative during the whole process. With two small children and two dogs they very conscience with safety and cleaned up every evening when they were finished working. Through out the install Dave was fantastic about sending texts every night with progress updates and what was in store the next day. The demolition was complete within two days, that's even with a surprise of having to remove four layers of flooring under the existing floor. After the first week, flooring and electrical was complete and cabinets were installed the second week. When unpacking the cabinets Dave's crew pointed out two slight defects with the cabinets; to us it wasn't a big deal but the professionals that they are, they refused to install them and insisted the factory ship two new cabinets sections. It took a few days for the new cabinets to arrive and they were able to swap out the defective units with no delays to the project. During the third week granite was installed and the plumbing was complete; we finally had our sink back, to the day that Dave promised. By the end of the week the kitchen was almost complete, electrical was finished and lighting was installed. During the final week the painting and back splash was finished, hardware was installed on the cabinets and with that, our dream kitchen was complete. The finished product was even better than we could have envisioned, the transformation from before to after was amazing.
