"As best I can tell they did the roof service ok, and installed the snow catchers. The only problem was that at least 25% of the snow catchers fell durning the winter of 2015. I had someone else come out and reinstall them.

"I couldn't be happier with Walter Brown. They gave a thorough inspection of the roof by walking it, clearly showing me the issues, and explaining any potential problems that could arrive. When we met to discuss the estimate, I was very appreciative that in addition to the estimate, they gave me a worst case scenario cost. We've had a few storms since the roof was installed, and no leaks now! This was as perfect as a home improvement project could have been. "I have used Freestate Tree Service before, as they always do a great job. This experience was not different. I had to have a dying Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima) removed, approximately 30 feet tall. They promptly responded to my initial e-mail to have them come out and check to see if the tree was able to be saved (it wasn't, which was no surprise) and e-mailed an estimate the next day. The other two companies (one wasn't able to get someone out to look at the tree until 2 weeks from my e-mail) and the one that did stop by gave an over-the-phone quote that was significantly higher. The Freestate guys showed up bright and early to start cutting away at the tree. They always seem to do quite a lot of work in a rather short amount of time. By the afternoon the tree was gone and they were cleaning up."

They were prompt, showed up on the appointment date on schedule, and completed the job ahead of their original estimate. "My husband and I had a lot of questions and discussion with Robert before we made the choice to go with K&R Roofmasters. Robert was very patient and thorough in his presentation of what his company does when replacing a roof and in explaining our options. After his initial presentation, we had many questions before making the decision. (We had a previous bad experience with a different contractor when trying to obtain a roof estimate, so we were overly cautious.) All our questions and concerns were met with patient explanations. Robert was the ONLY contractor that went in our attic to inspect the roof from the underside before giving us an estimate.  When we made the decision to use K&R, we felt pretty confident that we would be satisfied.
Our roof was way past its lifetime. It was "potato chip" condition and there were leaks. Because our budget was straining from making this purchase, we were concerned about what would be discovered under the old roof shingles. Unfortunately, a lot of pieces of plywood had rot in it and had to be replaced. Robert's team checked every piece of our roof for structural integrity so only the pieces which were actually damaged would be replaced. This helped to save us money rather than just telling us it all had to be redone. Robert never tried to pressure us into doing unnecessary work which we really appreciated.
The team Robert used was a group of nice, hard-working, respectful men; Robert supervised and did some of the hands-on work. Everything was cleaned up well and the end result is a very well done, attractive roof with a power fan to keep our attic cool to help protect the shingles so they will last longer. We have gone through an entire winter with snow, ice, wind, and lots of rain and there has not been one leak or problem with our roof. Robert told me several times if we have any issues, call and he will tend to it and I'm sure he will, if needed.
Also, anytime I called the office, I had respectful and kind staff members help me.
I would highly recommend K&R and if I have a roofing need, I will be calling Robert!

"l originally contacted the company approx. 2 yrs ago and was given a fair estimate. I had contacted other companies who had told me that I needed my entire roof redone at the cost of $6000! When Chico gave me a very detailed estimate of just what needed to be done, I knew that I would work with his company. During the 2yrs I would periodically receive emails asking if the repairs still need to be performed. They were always professional and polite, never pushy. When I finally came up with the money I contacted the company to have the roof re-assessed due to the time that had lapse from the original estimate. Chico came over promptly and offered to start work right then, and at the original estimate!  He even offered me advice on how to have my front door properly re-hung. He had my husband come up on the roof to take a look at the work performed. I couldn't be more satisfied with this company and highly recommend them to anyone and everyone for their integrity and professionalism throughout the process."
