"Taurino did a fantastic job with my interior painting and expertly handled some external repairs and painting as well. Not only did he use his discount paint card to save me a lot of money, but his pride in workmanship is clear in the quality of the results. I would gladly hire him again."

"We reached out to Mr. Mendez for a quote, which turned out to be very reasonable. We accepted his offer and decided to proceed with the painting projects through Mendez Painting Services LLC. In addition to painting, we also needed to install crown molding and wainscoting throughout our entire first level. Mr. Mendez's crew arrived promptly and prepared the space by covering the floors and moving all items to the center of the rooms. They began by repairing cracks in the ceilings and walls and then proceeded to install the crown molding and wainscoting boxes. They even replaced two interior doors and painted the entire interior of our house. The team did a remarkable job on all the projects, and we are completely satisfied with the results. Our house now looks very different, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to hire them again in the future."

"Needed to have some interior painting and general handyman services (baseboards replaced, bathroom caulk & grout repair) performed. William's crew did a phenomenal job and is by far one of the best company's we have used for interior painting. They are very meticulous in their work. They actually removed the electrical plates, repaired drywall, taped as necessary, and protected the furniture with plastic sheeting as well as moved the furniture when needed. Overall a great experience and will definitely be using them in the future."

"Benjamin came today to paint my porch. Was through and professional as he sanded, primed and painted it. Was always pleasant and answered any questions I had. Did not leave a mess and costs were not excessive. Was able to complete job in a day with time between priming and painting. Would recommend him."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Professional painters often use a Turpentine-based solution to remove paint, since it can remove oil-based paint as well as acrylics and varnishes. It’s also an organic material derived from tree resin, so it’s less toxic than traditional paint strippers. Consult a professional cabinet refinisher or painter about the best materials to use for paint stripping.

Yes, vinegar can remove polyurethane from wood, but it is a slow, inefficient, and inconsistent restoration method. Whatever your intention, it’s best to avoid using vinegar on wood with a polyurethane finish—though it can be an effective cleaner for other wood finishes.

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.

The biggest issue with painting your interior walls with exterior paint isn’t the way the paint looks or performs—it’s the lack of ventilation. The higher quantities of VOCs in exterior paint will have a harder time dispersing in an enclosed space, so do everything you can to direct them out—like turning on a fan and opening your windows and doors. Afterward, you can simply prime and redo your walls with interior paint, and no one will know the difference.

To remove paint from brick with vinegar, you can use the vinegar in much the same way you would paint stripper. However, vinegar needs significantly more time to soak into the paint. Apply the vinegar with a spray bottle, let it soak in, then scrub the paint's surface.
