"Excellent service by MarKool. First it is a small company so when you call them you talk directly to the person doing the work. Second they are highly responsive. Third at the home they are very personable and answer all questions in detail. Fourth In fixing my problem they showed they are highly skilled and experienced in HVAC in this case as it pertains to gas furnace operation."

"I hired a plumber through HomeAdvisor using prepay but I would not recommend this service. The contractor left a leaky pipe that caused water coming up through carpet. I had to purchase a wet vacuum to dry out the carpet. I had to contact HomeAdvisor again and hired Dave the Plumber, LLC who had to redo the installation done previously. Dave the Plumber replaced all the piping and outside spigot because of a water leak the previous contractor left. Thank you Dave the Plumber for being a professional and a job well done."

"This was my first time using Home Advisor. Gabe called me right away. I had a toilet that was leaking water on the floor. First he carefully covered all surfaces. Then he had to deal with an unexpected cracked pipe fitting in a concrete slab, but it was absolutely no problem. He was on time, worked quickly and was very professional. "The technicians redid the bricks so that you couldn't even tell they were repaired. It looked beautiful. They put in a new liner in the chimney and waterproofed it. They redid the inside of the fireplace to bring it up to code and put in a chain that easily opens and closes the flue. It looks so good and easy that I may decide to use the fireplace again. They redid the pipes in the basement so the fumes from the boiler and hot water heater went up the chimney in the correct way. There had been water damage and they corrected the damage and closed off the hole in the wall (foundation) and made a bigger hole in the correct place so that everything was up to code. They were polite, efficient and worked very hard to get the work done in the promised two days. I have interviewed many companies and found this company to be straight-forward in telling me what they would do and didn't try to tell me they were giving me a "good deal." Rather I feel they gave me an honest estimate on what needed to be done and didn't try to pressure me into using their company. They did give me 10% off because I was an Angie's List customer. What company to use was a hard decision for me because I knew nothing about chimney repair. Because so much of the repair was inside the chimney I couldn't tell what they had done. Based on my experience I feel they did a good job. I don't have a picture of the repaired chimney but it looks great--better than it did before the bricks fell. If someone wants more detail I can copy exactly what they did from the invoice. Also, maybe the company can show a picture of the finished product. Since it is summer time I haven't had any experience using the chimney but will let you know how things work out during the winter."
