I tried to get the pilot light relit however, was unable to do so. Carl recommended which gas logs would work for us and he Explain why and how the product works.. We had HG Mechanical (On Angie's List) to install the gas line. We set up a time for Carl to come out and install the fireplace logs. The fireplace looks great

The woodwork was especially fine. Since it was such a complicated job, we had some scheduling back and forth, but my calls were always acknowledged. I felt I was in capable, trustworthy hands throughout. Doug was forthright about the gas lines in my 80+-year-old home and we compromised with gas fires and wood-burning stoves in fireplaces, that look very nice.     Great service. My former Jiffy repairman, Pete, is no longer doing gas log repair. He assured me the new guy would do just as good a job. He was right. Shaun was wonderful. He cleaned the logs thoroughly, explaining everything he was doing, and gave me good tips on maintenance. He also replaced the non-working remote!! I'd given up hope of that, since our log set is almost 20 years old. We had been lighting the logs manually, which was a pain. Not only that, Shaun noticed that the Piezo igniter was broken, and said he would order the part and come back to reinstall once it arrived. He's a super nice guy too, and keeps a clean workspace and always wears shoe covers, which I really appreciate. I couldn't be happier with Shaun. I'd also like to give a shout out to the scheduler, Stefan, who always let me know in a timely fashion when Shawn was coming, and is very responsive to schedule changes. Many thanks to both guys

    I would give them FIVE STARS from start to finish. They are a family business and work effectively off of each other. Dan (son 1) is the salesperson, he is knowledgeable and personable. I interviewed other companies and something about how I interacted with Dan made me go with JBI in spite of a few previous reviews that were not very complimentary. He said that it would take 5 or more weeks to do the installion and it came in a week earlier. He also told me what we had to do to get ready for the installation (e.g., move bushes, change location of cable boxes). The installation went off like a concert, with Ian (the father) serving as the Conductor. Sitting on a box in front of the electrical panel that was being installed (day one to replace our main and sub electrical panels and wire generator transfer switch, etc) he directed Greg (son #2) to pull a myriad of wires and get them in the right place. At the same time, he was directing Francisco and another employee to do the outside work to prepare the site and place the generator. Day 2 involved hooking everything together and firing up the generator. They set up a time for the inspection and when the time came, it breezed through. Could not have gone any smoother from start to finish. Generator is here, waiting for the first power outage. I recommend JBI highly and without any reservation

    I have had my system since Jun 2019 Immediately the system did not work properly. I went back and forth and they finally got the system to work. When winter hit the system would not heat. After replacing the Heat pump I got an uninterrupted winter of heating. Things worked through the summer and when winter hit again the system gradually failed. I called out another HVAC company and they told me the system was leaking and was oversized for the Duct sizing in the house

    It was difficult to get a response to my inquiry on the cost to do the work. I was finally given a quote of 165 per hour plus materials, I agreed to they and they arrived as scheduled in two men in two trucks. It took 55 minutes to complete the work and they were gone. They supplied and used 6 concrete blocks and I provided them with 5 thick slate pavers. When I received the invoice it had $195/hr for 1.75 hours technician and $65/hr for a helper plus $42 for the blocks. All totaling $497. While the work was satisfactory, the charges are so far removed from the estimate, I feel that I am getting ripped off by. this company. I know of no-one else who charges for driving the to the site and they never identified it as part of the estimate. They never identified multiple people different than a rate per hour. They replied that it would have taken the technician twice as long if the helper wasn't there, which is not true as I was with them through the entire process, and would have been glad to hand tools to the technician. The bill also indicated that I needed to get one tank rectified. I hesitate using this company for anything. I just finished signing a three year agreement for propane, and now feel trapped. If I had any idea the cost was to be over $400, I would have shopped around some more first. I believe I should only be paying $165 for the 55 minutes work plus $42 for the blocks
