Amazing Flame Gas Fireplace Service & Repair

We contacted Amazing Flame on the basis of their positive reviews to repair our nonfunctional gas fireplace, and are very disappointed with their service. They were unable to diagnose the issue as outlined in their agreement (seeming more concerned when they were here with finishing quickly and moving on to the next appointment than diagnosing the issue). More concerningly, the technician left the gas on the incorrect setting despite verbally confirming it to be off, so we are pursuing a different repair company.

Mike replaced a broken blower on a Mendota gas fireplace insert, which required that virtually every part of the unit had to be disassembled to reach the blowers. He did a thoroughly professional job in every respect, and serviced and checked the unit before leaving. The only hitch was Mendata sending the wrong parts even though they were given the correct model/serial number, but Amazing Flames had them overnight the correct blowers and the work was completed the next day.

Very well. Called ahead, arrived on time, completed work quickly, and left without a trace.

On-time and professional, I was very impressed with Amazing Flame. They got my gas logs, which has been struggling to stay lit, working like new again. In addition, they refreshed the embers in the sealed box and made the whole thing look great. Highly recommended.

We had an old burner in our bedroom fireplace. During the last power failure it wouldn't light. I called and they sent a tech out quickly. I chose to replace the old burner with one that was remote-controlled. I got a reasonable estimate, and within a week the new one was installed and works great. My old burner was a 21" unit, but he recommended replacing it with a less expensive 18" unit, which he said was a better fit. That impressed me. Service was punctual, very friendly and courteous. Amazing Flame is now my go-to gas fireplace service company.

Highly professional from start to finish. We purchased a home with 4 gas fireplaces that was a summer residence so the fireplaces had little/no use for the 12 years the original owners lived here and were in bad need of repair and maintenance. The original appointment was set for 3 weeks out which was good considering it was still in the dead of winter. Communication was good, technician arrived on time and was extremely clean and efficient. The work order mistakenly stated only two fireplaces but he managed to finish all 4. His education during the process was much appreciated and highly valuable. He opened each fireplace, cleaned the gas, checked for leaks, took out and cleaned the logs, changed the batteries in the remotes and added new "embers". He added blowers to two of the 4 fireplaces to help with heat distribution. He was here a total of 4 hours. Will be using them yearly for maintenance.

It went very well. Electrical switch would not start the fireplace and that was fixed. Several other parts found to be defective and replaced. Everything cleaned and put back together properly. Fireplace has worked perfectly since the visit.

Service rep arrived at the front end of two hr window, explained and demonstrated assessment of problem and range of solutions. Price was same as quoted on phone. Completwd service has in less than two hrs, which required blower replacement, great job cleaning up work area.

It went very well and the fireplace looks great and is performing well. One cat stares at it in the evening and I swear would turn it on himself if he could, so we're happy and he is as well!

Everything went perfect. Cost was related to parts that needed ordered but they found me the cheapest options that would work well.

At first it looked unfixable. They were able to make it work with some good old fashion ingenuity. Kept me from having to buy a new fire place.

This was the first time we had our gas fireplace serviced so I had no idea what to expect, but was nervous about expensive repairs being required because the wall switch was not functioning properly and I was worried about safety/gas leaks. The technician was extremely professional, taking the time to explain the mechanics and giving me options for proceeding, most of which were already included within the scope of the maintenance/tune up service. He never attempted to push any extra services or repairs that would have increased the cost. The fireplace looked like new after he cleaned it out, corrected the haphazard log placement left by the previous company and cleaned the glass. A very thorough job, and I will be using this company again for annual servicing.

Well, completed in less than an hour.

I thought the technician did a fair job - spent about 40 mins on cleaning and servicing 2 fireplaces. A few weeks after he did the cleaning, I notice the inside glass on the fireplace had these white marks on it (which had never appeared before -- I've had the fireplaces for over 10 yrs) -- I called the owner to ask about the white stains and she said that was normal condensation -- and she wanted to charge me again for a trip fee to send her tech out to clean the glass windows on the fireplace. I disagreed with her as I believe it was something in their cleaning chemicals that caused the white stains as it did not appear on the fireplace glass before in the last 10 yrs. I thought it was bad customer service and poor taste she wanted to charge me again.

this was a very expensive part to replace and we weren't, original owners so it was not under warranty- when I called and talked to Lenah and explained she called the manufacture and got the needed info- the part was ordered and paid for after she sent us a proposaL for the work- their price was fair and when the part arrived Mike came and installed it - Amazing Flame was professional and we will call them in the future. The problem was originally found by another company who were professional but when we received their written proposal their price was considerably higher than they had originally told us. We are very glad after checking around to work with Amazing flame.

Great, they arrived on time, spent 20 min cleaning logs and surround, replaced rocks adjusted blower. Very polite, clean, knowledgeable. It was expensive though!

Making the appointment required a simple phone call, Russell arrived promptly, and got to work. He quickly assessed our problem, performed corrections, setup the fireplace like new, and provided advice on what we could do in the future. He explained and pointed out every step - an education in fireplace maintenance. In, out in no time, leaving as if he had never had to do work, leaving us with a fireplace functioning better than new. In the end, our louvers were not set correctly (inhibiting heating), but the main problem was in how the front glass was affixed, leaking at the bottom. The top needed a bit of an adjustment, too. He showed me where the seal was made, and how to avoid the problem in the future. If I decide for the further work, I will give Amazing Flame a call.

Perfectly. Tech showed-up right on time, kept work area clean and neat, and got everything fixed in an hour or so. As it turned out, repairs were more complicated than I thought. Tech had to repair wiring in the fireplace, as well as replace the remote, which was broken.
