"I hired Penate Tile to demo old carpet and install tile in the first floor (concrete slab) on two of my houses. They did a good job including moving and replacing furniture. It was fast, fairly priced and no question about their integrity. (I paid for the tile upfront but don't think I paid the full balance for labor until it was done). I was traveling at the time so I cannot comment on the cleanliness but didn't have any complaint from my housemate."

System included a combination ducted system for 1st floor and mini split system for 2nd floor (this system, as recommended by Major League, best suited for the existing conditions, accommodating the different zones/heat loads between the 1st & 2nd floor, and the fact that there was limited space for duct work for the 2nd floor ). 1. Work was completed as quoted, and competitively priced 2. Well coordinated, and worked around challenging existing conditions such as plumbing and tight crawl spaces, furnishings, etc. 3. Well organized and planned installation. 4. Very knowledgeable 5. Options/details recommendations (such as locations of diffusers, returns, stats, etc.) were discussed/reviewed with me. 6. Josh thoroughly examined the interior and exterior of the home and determined that the leak might be plumbing related. Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. They are fortunate to have an employee like Josh who exhibits concern for the customer at such a high level. "

"JES left my home in worse shape and will not return my calls to come repair the damage left. I reached out to them to install a joist support system under my kitchen so that I can renovate this year. There were floor joists under the back door that had been cut during a renovation about 30 years ago. JES installed a jack system but then left my foundation under the door where you can literally see daylight from the basement. I brought this up to the crew before they left late Friday night (they worked long hours just to ?finish? without even asking me if it was okay to trap me at home that late), and the lead just shrugged at me. Shortly after they left, it rained, and sure enough, water poured into my electrical room and all over the freshly poured concrete. I called Friday night, sent an email and text with videos, and called today 3 times. Each time the ?production manager? is ?busy.? Before this, they were perfectly capable of blowing up my phone to see if I could schedule sooner."

He came back next business day to install new part. He may not always be able to respond the next day depending on how busy he is but he will respond as quickly as possible. A very personable man, efficient, responsive and he will be my appliance repair man from this point forward."

"It was 2 days before Thanksgiving and my power kept flickering on and off. I had the power company out to my home who informed me that the box where the main power comes in...under the meter needed to be replaced and I had to call an electrician to do that. I had been coordinating with another electrical company while I was at work, to have someone come out that day. Unfortunately despite their efforts to find an available electrician, by 3:00 p.m. they were still non-committal. So in desperation, I decided to use Angie's list for the first time. That is how I came upon Resolute Electric. Contact was made within 5 minutes, and Clause who is either the manager or the owner was at my home within 1 hour to complete an assessment and quote me a price. He had one of his electricians at my house within another hour and the work was completed by 8:00 p.m. . He did not charge me any extra for the late hour of service simply because he was more concerned about our safety then making or taking advantage of our desperation. Both Clause and Randy displayed a level of professionalism and work ethic that you don't come upon very often these days. That being said, I felt it was important that they're excellence be acknowledged. I can't thank them enough."

"Walter and Kevin repaired an upstairs shower that was leaking to the downstairs ceiling. The ceiiling needed to be refinished because of the water stqains that resulted from the leaky shower. The entire job was done in one day. When finished the ceiling looked as if nothing had happened to it. An outstanding job at a reasonable price!!!"
