"Klaus moved our wired electric panel and re-wired the entire kitchen. He added amazing lighting including recessed lighting, under counter lighting and toe kick lighting. He installed relocated electrical receptacles for the dishwasher, garbage disposal and water pump. Did beautiful finish work. Very good at communicating and saying yes when I asked for more. Pricing very reasonable. Very dependable and amicable. Highly recommended."

"Due to the recent blizzard in Somerset County electric service was lost at a house I own in Marion. I only learned Sunday (3-1-26) that the power company couldn't hook up the electric until an electrician had pulled the main entrance cable and replaced the casing for the meter. By 9 am Monday, I had a call back from Brandon at Legendary (410-726-9087) who was at the house very quickly. The work was done perfectly by a master electrician, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I recommend Legendary highly. - Joanna"

Customers say: True professional

"Very professional and efficient. Arrived timely, very knowledgeable, and efficiently repaired appliance. Our General Electric large refrigerator was not properly cooling. Found door leakage, ordered the part, and returned to replace the seal. No markup on the part, no added time to repair - entire transaction was very fair. Could not ask for a better experience."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The humid climate and frequent storms in Cambridge make moisture protection a top concern for electrical projects. GFCI outlets and weather-resistant materials are essential, especially for waterfront properties. Salt air can cause corrosion, so marine-grade components and elevated panels are common. Storms also increase the need for surge protection and whole-house generators to ensure reliable power during outages.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Cambridge, keep a non-contact voltage tester, digital multimeter, insulated screwdrivers, and a flashlight for outages. Stock GFCI outlets, weatherproof covers, dielectric grease for salt air, and surge protectors. Desiccant packs help manage humidity in electrical boxes. Labeled panel markers and a list of local professionals ensure you’re prepared for both routine maintenance and unexpected electrical issues.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Cambridge are prioritizing smart home upgrades, such as automated lighting and smart thermostats, to handle seasonal changes. Outdoor electrical projects like landscape lighting and dock power systems are especially popular near the water. Many also focus on energy efficiency with LED lighting, surge protection, and electric vehicle charging stations, while historic homes often blend concealed wiring with period-style fixtures.

Helpful?

If your Cambridge home is older or you notice frequent breaker trips, flickering lights, or loose outlets, it’s likely time for electrical upgrades. Waterfront and historic properties often need special attention to moisture and preservation. Homes with updated 200-amp service are generally ready for modern electrical projects, but always verify local inspection requirements before starting any major work.

Helpful?

In Cambridge, always shut off power at the circuit breaker and confirm with a non-contact voltage tester before starting any electrical project. Limit yourself to simple tasks like changing light bulbs or replacing outlet covers, as older homes may have unique wiring. Avoid any work during storms or in damp areas, and consult a local professional for anything beyond basic maintenance.
