"Benito and Julio were fantastic! I was going to try putting up the wallpaper by myself but I got SO nervous that I contacted Angi's list. Julio did the painting and Benito did the wallpaper. I had not touched my kitchen in 20 years and I felt so happy watching them get the job done correctly. I highly recommend R&B Pro Painting!"

"George's painting, inc was responsive and professional from start to finish. The project entailed wallpaper removal from 2.5 bathrooms and kitchen, repainting those rooms; installing a tile backsplash and vinyl tile floor in the kitchen; replacing the kitchen countertop; repairing a cabinet; repairing drywall and painting the ceiling in the master bedroom. The owner came out to do the estimate himself. He was accommodating when I wanted to expand the scope of the initial project and came out a second time to give me an updated estimate. He was easy to reach via cell or email. The estimate was more than fair. His crew completed the job in three days. The crew was polite, professional, and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each work day. I highly recommend this company and would use them again."

"They were timely and were able to get a considerable amount of painting done in a short amount of time.  They were very clean and there were no paint splatters anywhere.  They were very professional and I am continuing to use them currently."

"We used the Mega Kitchen and Bath in Silver Spring. We worked with Abrihim who helped us design our bathroom remodel. Grover and his assistant did the work. They came in the morning and worked until late afternoon, sometimes until 6pm. The work was excellent and completed in a timely fashion. We are very happy with the finished product and I would highly recommend Mega Kitchen and Bath, Silver Spring location."

Small jobs welcome

"My husband used Chris Papadopoulos several times with projects related to his business and he was thrilled about the great timing and coordination of the job and quality of work. He knew I have very high standards and I could deal only with a professionals only renovating my bathrooms.
The job went great, the price was very reasonable and GS Builders crew was very professional, courteous and very neat.
Nicoleta Papadopoulos did an amazing job designing the new layout of my bathrooms and her choice of materials and fixtures are the best I could have wished for. We are all enjoying our new bathrooms and will definitely hire GS Builders for future projects.
Chris and Nicoleta Papadopoulos are very honest and professional.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

Hanging wallpaper may seem simple, but in practice it requires significant planning and finesse to make it look professional. To start, you need to get an even application of wallpaper paste across all of your wallpaper, which requires experience and large pasting tables to get right. You also need to plan out your design and match it exactly so that you don’t have imperfections in the finished product. It’s often better to hire a professional wallpaper hanger who can get the job done properly for a clean, smooth finish.

Because replacing pool tiles requires fully draining your pool, it’s a great opportunity to complete other projects. You may want to replace your pool’s vinyl liner or repair cracks. You might also replace your swimming pool heater or even take on the cost of resurfacing your pool. Resurfacing, although relatively costly, can help prolong the lifespan of your pool.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.

Ideally, you want to ask the wallpaper installers you’re considering for examples of past work, and references you can call. These will prove that the installer can handle your job, make your room look professional, and will also give you some insight into the kind of customer service you can expect. Before you start calling companies, you might want to narrow down your options by finding installers with mostly positive reviews online.
