The project entailed wallpaper removal from 2.5 bathrooms and kitchen, repainting those rooms; installing a tile backsplash and vinyl tile floor in the kitchen; replacing the kitchen countertop; repairing a cabinet; repairing drywall and painting the ceiling in the master bedroom. The owner came out to do the estimate himself. He was accommodating when I wanted to expand the scope of the initial project and came out a second time to give me an updated estimate. I gave him the sample from Home Depot and he offered an estimate that was almost 200% below the average estimate for the same job while still offering to use the exact product we wanted. The job took approximately a day and a half and the contractors were professional and cordial (not even minding the wandering Akita roaming throughout the house). I would highly reccomend!
