"Was polite and professional but didn't have the tools needed to properly unclog my underground gutter drain which was clogged with roots. Tried a mechanical auger that he had but that was all he could do and only pulled thin roots which helped but didn't completely unclog the drain."

Customers say: True professional

"Suma responded to our request to snake our basement floor drain. Upon inspection we were quoted a price for the job which we felt was reasonable. The technician completed snaking the drain and then tested it thoroughly to be certain it was clear. Very professional."

"Excellent service. The technician (I am blanking on his name) was very professional. He looked at the issue (clogged drain), gave me a couple of options, we chose one, he proceeded with unclogging the drain and voila, no more issue. Thank you!"

"Really appreciate Mahon (Mike and Robert) to come out the day after New Year's to assist us. Our basement bathroom drain line had clogged and I had spent most of NYE day trying to use a plunger and typical off-the-shelf remedies to fix. This service qualified as a emergency call due to the holiday (as these things happen). We were the 7th customer they were scheduled to see. Luckily, they were in the area for another emergency appointment and were able to assist us earlier than promised. They were extremely careful in lugging the 250lb auger through the house and did not damage anything. They had the drain open and flowing within 10 minutes. Mike and Robert were super easy to work with and very professional. Awesome service! KR"

"My experience with this company was great. I was able to tell them my issues and they gave me several options. Ultimately we went for the full French Drain system. Everything was done on time and the estimates were very fair. Warranty on the work is great. I would call them again if needed."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

It is generally not recommended to pour hot or boiling water down a drain to unfreeze pipes due to significant risks. In some cases, the sudden temperature change can cause more ice buildup or produce steam, which increases pressure and could cause the pipe to burst, leading to costly damage and potential burn injuries. While hot water might help with a partially frozen drainpipe, it is unlikely to thaw a completely blocked water pipe further down the system. Additionally, boiling water can damage plastic pipes over time. Safer and more effective methods include using a space heater near the frozen section or applying hot towels directly to the pipe.

Yes, you can use vinegar to unclog a dishwasher. To do so, combine 4 tablespoons of white vinegar with 4 tablespoons of baking soda and pour the mixture down your dishwasher’s drain. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then pour a cup of hot water down the drain to flush everything out. Finally, run a rinse cycle on your dishwasher to see if the clog is gone.

Professional tools include drain snakes, hydro jets, cameras for line inspection, and enzymatic or chemical cleaners for dissolution.

There are a few ways to unclog a toilet without a plunger. Break up the clog with homemade solutions containing soap, vinegar, and baking soda, or simply let hot water spend some time in the drain. You can also use a two-liter soda bottle filled with water to push pressurized water into the pipe to dislodge the debris (see the steps above).

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.
