"My chest freezer broke down and I did not want to buy a new one since I could not afford the same size. I reached out to appliance parts pro and they were confident that what I ordered would fix my problem. $200 in parts later and I now have a broken freezer on my porch and am still paying the loan to this terrible company. They just want you to order parts and try them because they know you can't return them. I hate this company with every fiber of my being and will make sure that anyone that has a broken appliance will not use them. To top it off, their site is so screwed up that it give you an error trying to log back in. I ended up having to create THREE different accounts because every time I went to place a new order, it would not let me login and it would not send a password reset email. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF."

"Mr. Harrison was cordial, prompt and efficient. Although he couldn’t fix my problem that day, he promised to research the problem and get back to me the next morning. He did just as he promised and fixed my problem over the phone. I was able to avoid a much longer wait and a more expensive repair by Lowe’s service department . Since he repairs most appliances, Mr. Harrison will be at the top of my list to call in the future! A+++!!"

"Punctual, skilled, and professional. Diagnosed and fixed the problem with my Bosch dishwasher in less than an hour. (It stymied the last repairman sent from the warranty service). Highly recommended."

Whether designing a home in the country or an apartment in the city, Denise has and keen sense of style and comfort for a family friendly lifestyle. Projects may range from the very traditional to the transitional to the very contemporary. Or, from the very colorful and highly detailed to the more serene, peaceful, mono/achromatic palette. All projects, share certain eclecticism - freely mixing the antique with the contemporary in varying proportions. Ultimately, all receive the same meticulous attention to detail.

"Fantastic. We had the work done and get lots of complements."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Jarvis combines beauty, functionality and Energy Star savings in ways you never thought possible. We have built our business solely for the purpose of serving you the best way possible. Jarvis is also a factory approved, full service dealership. Our service and parts department is open 6 days a week to help you with your repair needs. When you shop at Jarvis Appliance, you get quality and value at one low price. Our sales staff will help educate and guide you to the appliance that most suits your individual style, needs and budget. Since 1971, Jarvis has been providing service fit for our customers and their home.

"Excellent service, competitive pricing, dedicated to getting the job done right, thorough attention to detail in both sales and installation, punctual, conscientious, hard working, and they really listen to customer concerns. We needed to replace four 20-year old Maytag appliances. Jarvis sales rep, Jimmy, showed me how to save money by purchasing all four appliances from a single manufacturer for additional rebates. He further encouraged me to wait until Jarvis had its Black November sale for more aggressive pricing. Jimmy also found and offered me a top-of-the-line microwave that’s a floor model that he could sell me brand new (ie., with all the warranties, etc) for less than the model we were considering. Jarvis not only excelled at sales but installation too. Their standard operating procedure is to send out a seasoned installer to the site and confirm that the appliances will fit properly as well as anticipate any additional materials or changes that might be needed to make the installation run smoothly. Well that didn't happen by mistake in our case. What really impressed me was how much effort they made to make up for this oversight and ensure that we would be satisfied. When the installers arrived, they realized that three of the four appliances would require special handling to fit and work properly. The microwave oven was much larger than its predecessor. The cooktop was smaller than the hole in the counter space, just like the previous cooktop. And the wall oven needed a higher voltage circuit breaker, a larger hole in the wall, and some wall tiles would need to be removed, cut and regrouted. The installers were resourceful and cooperative. They did the best they could and made everything fit and work properly. The wall oven, however, still needed a new circuit breaker, and the tile still needed to be cut and regrouted. The cooktop also used the same old plastic frame to fit on top of the counter. Kevin, CEO and head of installation, visited our home several times to order the parts needed, get the tile cut (note: we checked with several stores like Home Depot and Lowes who refused to cut the tile) correctly, and reinstall the tile to match its previous decor. He had to order a special new frame for the cooktop from California. He installed the circuit breaker and got everything done within a month, despite the heavy volume of sales from the Black November sales event. Jarvis did not charge us for any of this extra attention and service. (note: Best Buy told me that I would have had to pay an electrician to install the new circuit breaker as well as cut the tile and reinstall it myself. They don't do it.) We were very pleased with the conscientious way that Kevin paid attention to every detail to make sure that the job was done right. Jarvis clearly deserves a 5-STAR rating and I would not only recommend them to anyone, I would only use them again."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

Your heating and cooling systems cost you the most on your electric bill and make up 50% of your bill on average. Your washing machine, dryer, oven, and stove contribute significantly to your electric bill as well. Lights, fans, and smaller electronics add up, but aren’t the biggest energy consumers. You can reduce your power usage by setting optimal temperatures on your thermostat and investing in energy-efficient appliances.

If your microwave is on the fritz and you suspect the fuse has blown, you can check it to confirm it’s the source of the problem. Start by disassembling the panel and carefully checking the fuse filament or ceramic components. If your microwave uses a glass fuse, you’ll likely see discoloration and a melted filament. If your microwave contains a ceramic fuse, you’ll need to use a multimeter continuity tester to check if there’s continuity.

Running a window air conditioner unit costs about $0.06 to $0.88 per hour. Choosing the correct size air conditioner can help it run more efficiently.

Small appliance repair costs average around $50 to $400, with costs ranging significantly based on the type of appliance, the extent of the damage, the issue, the appliance brand, and the availability of replacement parts. Generally speaking, you’ll pay less for repairs on very small appliances, like blenders and toasters, than you will for microwave repairs. We recommend consulting a small appliance repair technician for a quote before starting the project.

The most popular size of wall oven is around 28 inches wide. Ovens are mostly constructed as cubes, and they are described by their width. This size provides a nice balance between cooking space, energy efficiency, and cutout size. This popular size can handle food for up to six people.
