"Worst experience working with a contractor we have ever had. Lack of communication was astounding. Reached out to start the project on our tiny front lawn in June/July. Didn't start planting until mid October. Was told there were 5 jobs in front of ours. Ignored photos of exactly what we wanted. Finish product is passable at best. Would not recommend."

Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! We are now looking to have Roberto and his crew back to take a few more projects off of our plate too! "For the first 2 years, their M.O. is to communicate mostly through their online portal and email. Face-to-face communication is not something that they regularly schedule and asking them to do this has been met with no communication. In the first 2 jobs, their work was 'fine' for what they did with the exception that they didn't do what I asked and had to come back again to fix things (though they made some cuts on bushes that they were asked NOT to cut). This year, I tried again to communicate with them, but they were open to the job only through email and their portal. My attempts to speak with them were met with, literally, 'You should find someone else to do the work'. This year's job included 2 houses - one for my brother-in-law who is very ill and can't do the work he typically does himself. I thought that Twins Lawn Service would be more willing to at least do that job (a very small one), but again - they wouldn't even schedule it since I asked that they speak with me directly to understand the job. Buyer beware; call them at your own risk; I won't do that again!"

"I am a regular customer of this company. The do my spring cleanup, fall cleanup, trim, mulching, and lawn maintenance. I am always amazed at how great the yard looks after they are done. They keep the edges sharp and provide the little extras that other companies do not. They show up on time, are professional and thorough. If you want a great looking yard for a reasonable price, hire this company. Their work is excellent."

"After several attempts to just hire Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction (during a bid process), I finally did. The rates seemed comparable, at first. However, there were many projects to be completed at my deceased mother's house. Because I am disabled and not able to get to the property, I couldn't see how badly I was taken advantage of. Not only did I pay for a job they did not do, I also paid for another job that is unfinished, plus a french drain that is causing a sink hole, and the buried equipment is now above ground. All 3 of these projects pose safety risks. The french drain collapse is only a few months after installation. After bringing these issues to the owners attention (the unfinished project I'd requested be completed for months), the owner began ignoring me. When I mentioned that litigation was going to move forward, the owner said he'd look at the work that week then blew me off again. When they actually do work, Golden Hill's quality of work is atrocious and will need to be fixed. They broke the house vinyl siding when cutting down a tree branch and refused to fix it. I hired a contractor to fix that. They will overcharge (snowplowing is expensive), take advantage of you if you are a senior or disabled, and will try to get paid without working. They should not be in business and allowed to take advantage. I now have to pay someone else to fix their work, finish their work, and do a $375 job they never did. They've been paid over $10,000, with more work to be done at multiple properties. They agreed to do a quote at a second property, then never showed up. One would figure, with that kind if business, a company would want to perform quality work and respond to a dedicated customer. Aroldo at Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction will do a poor job or not at all, blow off appointments, ignore requests, and refuse to fix problems. He will, however, not hesitate to pick up a check. You should not ever hire them. If you do, be prepared to throw money away."

"Dimitri and his team were outstanding and demonstrated excellent service and professionalism. Before our meeting Dimitri sent me an estimate for the project that was very easy to understand and was available through text or phone call to answer any questions I had. He showed up ready to go on the day that he was scheduled to be there. Dimitri explained in detail what how his proposal was going to be executed. His team were always prompt, courteous and professional to my tenants and family members. Throughout the project he kept in touch via text which was my preferred mode of communication. While working on my house he informed me if any dirties potential problems that may interfere with the substantial investment I was putting into this home improvement project. I was grateful for that information and was able to make the repairs needed. Upon completion of the project I was informed of any additional information I wanted to know for future reference. I would highly recommend Dimitri Painting & Masonry without reservation. Outstanding!"
