Over the years, we have expanded our capabilities and services from residential and commercial landscape maintenance, to design and installation of lawns and plant material. We are experienced in hardscape design and installation. From retaining walls to walkways, custom driveways, patios, pool decks and more. We offer a variety of ways to improve the appearance, enjoyment and value of your property. As always, quality craftsmanship and service are our top priorities. We are certified in the installation of high strength concrete pavers and retaining walls providing a wide range of products to suit all styles and design requirements.

We continue to offer both residential and commercial landscape maintenance including; mowing, lawn care, edging, mulching, bush shearing, trimming and pruning, etc. As most of you know we can also design and create landscape construction projects including; plantings, new seed or sod lawns, retaining walls, patios, pool decks, walkways, stairs, fire pits and a variety of other outdoor living ideas. In addition, we install fences; wood, vinyl and aluminum types.

It went really well. The company, owner, and workers are all meticulous, efficient, and did such a great job. They listened to everything I wanted done. My yard looks so manicured and so perfect. I moved there not too long ago, and everything had been overgrown and bushes were too close to the house. Now, after their hard work, the yard is ready for sitting out. It is a yard to be proud of thanks to their hard work and expertise as well as most important our communication.

They went above and beyond to ensure I received exactly what I wanted. The planters has re-energized my front lawn and it looks absolutely beautiful. I am not a green thumb but even after the job is done I can always call or text to ask questions regarding my plants and they are always willing to help and answer any questions that I may have.

This was the best experience! Bernie came over to my home and looked at my disastrous lawn- brutalized by grubs! He gave me his advice about the various approaches I could take and then wrote up a thorough estimate that included the different options. The price was very reasonable! When his crew came to put in the lawn, they were professional and attentive to details. They removed all the grub-infested soil, cleaned out my garden and under my shrubs and even the wells by cellar windows. They put in the lawn, treated one section of the yard that wasn't even in the "deal" and seeded that as well. They did this all in two days and left the yard looking better than it ever has and I've been here for 34 years. I can't thank them enough! The work crew, Bernie, Nolisha- all of them are skilled professionals and very kind! I need a new front walk and in the future, I intend to hire them for this project as well. I highly recommend this company!

Matt and his partner did fantastic job installing cobble stone, gravel, loam and seed. They did both the right and left side yards, along with the right side of my backyard. They were very matriculate, friendly, listened and easy to talk to. Cleaned up after each day and left the property looking great. Definitely hire them. Best I’ve worked with. Can’t say enough about ther professionalism and hard working.

Every aspect of dealing with Macauley Brothers is FIRST RATE. From the insights and suggestions during the initial meetings, to the fantastic completion of the landscape and hardscape projects, as well as every step in between, their primary goal is the client’s satisfaction. For all appointments and job tasks, they show up as expected, subject to weather delays. Bernie Macauley provides his extensive expertise honestly and in s straight forward manner that the client can rely upon. He is meticulous about shopping for the landscape plants or hardscape products that will provide the best matches for the clients’ needs and goals. In our recent project, he traveled to several nurseries on his own time to locate the types of shrubs we wanted that were in the best conditions for fall plantings, rejecting several that were worn out from the long summer weather. Bernie is familiar with the climate zones and soil types that will assure the shrubs’ survivals Other landscapers would not have spent so much time on that preliminary work and due diligence. Once the selections are made, the installations of the landscape and hardscape products are done with care and attention under Bernie’s initial guidance, including the best fertilizers and other prep work. His crews show up on time, are courteous, and reflect the attitude instilled from Bernie, from the project manager to every worker. The whole team at Macauley Brothers are all professional, responsive, hard working and meticulous, so they clearly care that the clients are pleased with the outcome. If there are aspects that rarely the clients question, Bernie and his crew return to address them. Their attitude helps to virtually eliminate the stress of doing these types of projects because the clients have confidence in their work. We are very demanding clients and we have used Macauley Brothers for major landscape and hardscape projects at residential projects in Newton, on the Cape and in Chestnut Hill over several years. In every instance, their work has exceeded our expectations, while substantially enhancing the beauty and value of the properties. Macauley Brothers did an absolutely outstanding job! Bernie came over to give us a free estimate and when we explained what we had in mind he was even able to give us some great suggestions that made a lot of sense. We had gotten a couple of other estimates although Bernie's wasn't the least expensive, it wasn't the most expensive either, and after speaking with him we felt confident that he would be able to do exactly what we wanted for a price that was within our budget. The crew that came who did the job was very friendly, helpful and efficient and did a nice nice job and cleaned up well after themselves. And made sure that everything was perfect and we were happy before they left. I would definitely recommend Macauley Brothers Inc. to anyone who is looking to have quality landscaping work done on their property.
