"I hired Silmac construction to remodel my basement. They put in a three-quarter bath, kitchenette, and finished the rest of the basement. This included cutting foundation for full size windows, putting in a new zone for heating and cooling system, and all the plumbing and electrical work needed. They were very professional and did an excellent job. I have gotten many compliments on our basement and I will hire them again to do work on my house."

"Pedro was very easy to work with. Background: We had a french drain and drainage installed due to flooding. Prior to that work, the basement was already finished, but this work required us to need a new floor and baseboards. We had tile down and wanted to put an laminate down. After talking with Pedro prior to any work being done (during the consult), it was decided to see if it was better to level the floor to the remaining tile or jack hammering all the remaining tile up. We had an idea of the product we wanted, and he was able to recommend a different version of the product that was better that we were not aware existed. Our basement baseboards were tricky. We were told to use PVC wood, but Pedro recommended against it since it was an enclosed space that we would be using and that is known to release toxins. Once work started: Pedro and the men were such hard workers. The time they arrived in the morning could vary depending on if they went to Home Depot first. The time they left depended on how much they wanted to complete before they left. Every night they cleaned up (and this was a space we weren't using at all.) Each day I got an update on the status. While laying the floor, Pedro had to work around drains in the floor. With the french drain, we had this plastic wall trim to have water drain into from the wall. It was very ugly and couldn't be kept as is since part of the tile behind it was destroyed. Pedro worked with me to create a nice looking baseboard with a gap to allow for the water to drain into the french drain. We also decided last minute to make a small cellar room (with stone foundation walls) into a real room with insulation and walls! They were able to get that done as well and it looks amazing. (I didn't rate price, because I didn't comparison shop. I had originally contacted Pedro and got a quote. Then ended up contacting him to find out when he could do it and was told the following week. I wanted the basement job finished before I went back to work so didn't bother to comparison shop.)"

"RORHI completed our basement renovation. They did fantastic work, and all the contractors were highly professional: the framers, the insulators, the drywallers, the electrician, and the finishers. They went above and beyond to accommodate some special requests, like installing a commercial dehumidifier and finishing the walls of the storage closet, which were not part of the original scope, which greatly enhanced the finished look. We had a great experience working with Evan, Mike, and Matt (the initial estimator), as well as Inmer (finishes and framing), Eddie (painter), and the electrician. Despite minor miscommunications leading to necessary changes, they promptly addressed our concerns, sending someone immediately or the following day to resolve issues. Overall, we were impressed by RORHI's dedication and responsiveness, and we plan to hire them again for our next projects."

"We hired Charles Draleau of A-Z Finish Carpentry as the contractor for a complete walkout basement renovation, including the family room, laundry room and unfinished basement areas. The renovation followed remediation for mold and asbestos. We definitely hired the right person, and could not be more pleased with the entire experience and end results! Charles was great at keeping me informed via text, so we always knew what was happening next. He did a great job coordinating all the work, from demolition, framing, insulating, plastering, plumbing, to installation of electrical wiring, windows, flooring, stairs, shelving and painting. This total basement transformation went along so smoothly, and weâ re so happy with the outcome. Charles is a perfectionist and hires workers, including plasterers, electricians, plumbers, and finish carpenters who also take great pride in their work. I highly recommend A-Z Finish Carpentry."
