"When we started our plan of remodeling, the first thing we did was the complete roof replacement including kitchen vent & duct pipe installation to the roof, and new installation of attic ventilation. The crews, Zen and Mark, were very courteous, extensively experienced, reliable, and friendly with excellent communication, sometimes with songs of 80s rock music. They ask me when more precise specifications are needed and notified me when they feel advance notifications are required. When a change is necessary due to inspection, they informed me and clarified what and why. I have never felt uncomfortable in living together with the remodel job which has lasted over four months. The completed two bathrooms were stunning, just as I imagined. Matt, Zen, and Mark have proved their strong & thoughtful expertise and lived up with my request patiently until completion. Great job. "This is an honest, detailed review of my experience conducting business with Aaron Steeves both in his capacity as a real estate professional and as the owner of his construction company, Confido Builders. I will start by saying that Aaron is an expert in his field. He is well-informed, pays acute attention to detail and is well-connected to any service you may need while conducting your real estate transactions. Aaron is responsive, he is honest, personable, easy to talk to and easy to understand. From start to finish Aaron guided the process of selling my home by combining his knowledge of the industry with his genuine disposition of kindness. His consistent results gave me reason to trust his process, a process that resulted in me declining 9 offers (all over-asking) and accepting an offer that was five (almost six) figures over my asking price in just 4 days on the market. It is my opinion that it would not have been possible for me to be in better hands than Aaron’s. I met Aaron when a carpenter working across the street from my house gave me his number. I owned a 124 year-old Victorian home with 7 bedrooms, 3 stories and nearly 4,000 square feet. I also had a second detached 3-story building on the property that served for storage. My adult children had since moved out leaving just 2 of us and I wanted to sell quickly with no fuss. My introduction to Aaron was with an interest in him as an investor willing to buy the house, allowing me to avoid the hassle of putting it on the market. Aaron listened on that initial phone call and offered to come by for a cursory look. His easy way of being is disarming and after a few visits and an exchange of photos he made me an offer. I was surprised when he then advised me to consider putting the house on the market, where I would make more than I would selling to an investor. Ever the class act, Aaron demonstrated from the beginning that his sole consideration was to act in my best interest by maximizing my return on investment. Having raised 10 people in the house, 7 of them boys, normal wear and tear was present. I was interested in finding an investor because I didn’t want to do the heavy lifting of preparing a house that size for sale. After the years I had invested in getting the house to where it was and maintaining it, I was unwilling to touch another paintbrush ever again. Aaron assured me that he had a team of people at the ready and he did, although because there are so many professionals that he works with, they’re more like a small army than a team. With this in mind, plus a great deal of trepidation, I took the plunge and decided to put the house on the market. It was March and during the last winter storm, 26” of icy snow brought a 7-foot section of gutter and fascia board down on my bulkhead. I needed not only a contractor to get in a crane and go up 3 stories to make the repair, I also needed a stone mason to repair the bulkhead which had been badly damaged by the falling debris. A living room window had also been broken in the fall and needed to be replaced. Having never utilized my home-owner’s insurance, the thought of filing a claim was daunting but Aaron proactively and skillfully walked me through the process. (The best thing about Aaron is that he is consistently transparent. No matter who he’s engaging with, he does so with a straight forward passion and commitment to doing what’s right. He’s open and fair across the board and because of this, the people he does business with go out of their way to do the best job they can for him. The kind of reputation and respect which Aaron has built for himself is something that money can’t buy.) It was on a Friday that we talked about the fascia board and the next day (even though it was a Saturday) Aaron’s stone mason, a talented craftsman named Andre from Amazonia Landscaping came by. He was happy to give me a fair, up-front estimate on the spot for the bulkhead work. The following Monday Aaron had another crew out assessing the fascia board repair and within 24 hours I had an estimate for that work as well. In less than a week I had everything in order to file an insurance claim, for which I received a check to cover the full amount just 3 weeks later. 2 days after that I came home from work to find that Andre and his crew had come over and entirely rebuilt my bulkhead, poured concrete, brick and all! When I called Aaron to thank him he chuckled and said, “no problem, just send him a check when you’re ready”. Literally 3 days after the bulkhead repair Aaron’s crane crew arrived to make the repair to the fascia board and gutter. Because I was at work I wasn’t able to interface with them so Aaron ran point and arranged every detail of that job, INCLUDING getting them to drop what they were doing and come back just one week before closing because the doggone squirrels ate a hole in a different section of fascia board. When I say that Aaron handled everything, I mean that I never laid eyes on that crew, never had to speak to or deal with them, even down to making the payment, which was extremely fair for the work they did. I know without question that Aaron negotiated on my behalf and got them to bring their price down. Both times, the work was done in less than a day and blended seamlessly with the original fascia board, right down to the mitered corners and paint color. It was remarkable. When it came to interior work I wanted to have the kitchen painted as well as having the whole house deep-cleaned from the 3rd floor to the basement. Again I turned to Aaron to find out if he had any indoor contractors he could direct me to and man, did he ever. Aaron introduced me to Anthony, a talented, hard-working up-and-coming contractor whose quote to paint my kitchen came in at less than half what I was expecting. Anthony got to work immediately, doing all the prep work of taping off the kitchen, repairing cracks including removing and repairing a decades-old protruding section of plaster, and picking out paint colors. He understood what I wanted and executed beautifully. Because his work was so thorough and quick and his price was unbeatable, I asked Anthony if he would consider painting my back staircase. All in all, Anthony and his crew wound up painting the kitchen, upstairs bathroom, 2nd floor bedroom, 3rd floor bedroom, 3rd floor loft including re-painting the painted floor, the back staircase down 3 flights and a long front entry hallway of about 25 feet. He also replaced my broken living room window, fixed the upstairs bathroom vanity, fixed my kitchen sink AND replaced and painted any missing cedar siding shingles on the outside of the house all the way up to the top. I was minimally involved and Aaron made all the arrangements for everything I needed, including scheduling Anthony on evenings and weekends for me, ensuring that the work was completed from start to finish in less than 4 weeks. With my permission Aaron put a lockbox on the door and gave Anthony the code. More than once I came home to find my son listening to Anthony as he explained the importance of doing a task right, whether it was painting a wall, fixing a sink, or whatever. Sometimes my son would just sit there and watch him, listening to whatever was playing on Anthony’s radio. This was more than transactional, this was personal and I knew enough to know that this was a reflection of the respect and esteem that this young contractor held for Aaron. When it came to the second building on the property that had been used for storage, I decided to have a dumpster dropped off that my adult sons could fill for removal. Again I turned to Aaron and he introduced me to Tom and the folks at I’ll Take That Junk who expertly dropped off and picked up a 20 yard dumpster in my very narrow driveway not once, not twice, but three times. Yes, it took three whole dumpsters to empty the years of broken furniture, cribs, couches and the rest from my carriage house. Tom and his partner were super easy to work with, pleasant, communicative and understanding. Twice I had a tight time constraint and twice they went out of their way to pic"
