The men were very careful when they removed the snow from our roof as to where they were throwing it to make sure they did not damage anything on the ground or the awning over our door. There was also someone on the ground to shovel the snow off the walkways that had already been cleared. They placed "ice melt socks" that my husband and I had made at the suggestion of the fire department otherwise we would have no other way to get them on the roof. One of our neighbors ended up hiring them right then and there to remove snow from their roof also. We may hire them again if need be and also again in the spring to give us a new roof.
