"MasonWorks was taking over for a contractor who had run out of steam in mid-project, so it was challenging for them...and there were details left un-addressed by the original contractor. They showed up with the right number of people, then they said they'd show up. They immediately identified design issues, and solved them on the spot (a poor layout for the fire pit, and no border design). They free-handed a beautiful layout for the fire pit, and suggested a really nice border design. The job was started on a Wednesday morning. It rained like crazy on Thursday, and they finished Friday. This was after months of playing footsie with my previous contractor. "Steve was fantastic! We brough in paramount to provide a quote for removing and replacing an old cast iron dampener. We had another company come out and provide us a quote on a basic chimney sweep and they recommended we replace the dampener (which was expensive) because they could not get the dampener open to clean the chimney. When Steve from Paramount came out to provide the quote, he informed us we would not necessarily need the new dampener, opened the existing one and cleaned the chimney. "Dimitri and his crew were very professsional. They arrived a half hour early and did a great a job painting the bathroom, two bedrooms and staining the trim around the windows. I also needed masonry repair work done on my front steps as well as prep work for installing a railing. They did a fantastic job completing the project. I was also impressed with the initiative Dimitri took to repair other minor related masonry issues he noticed without requesting an additional charge. "Dear Derek R. We also hired Jerome and Patty for a large job including a patio about 700 sq ft, a large circular patio with a fire place and a sitting wall and a walk way. We found both Jerome and Patty to be professional, honest and hard working. Our patio came out beyond our expectations. "I needed a landscaper because my lawn was a mess (more weeds and moss than grass, it seemed), and water was seeping into the basement because of improper gutter drainage and soil grading. Oh, and there was a critter, possibly the skunk that was seen in the area, burrowing underground where there was a gap near my patio – ugh! I hired M&L because the quote was reasonably priced, and Leo was responsive, understanding and cooperative as my landscaping project evolved. The job he ended up doing included building a trench for the gutter downflow, re-grading the entire lawn, creating flowerbeds, installing a fence, doing concrete work (to keep that critter out!), and paving a small section of the yard to hold trash and recycling bins. Leo and his team showed up when they said they would, worked quickly and efficiently, and with the greatest attitude – all of them were hard-working and easy to deal with. "The work performed in the abandonment of the underground oil tank was done in a very professional manner by the assigned workers.  From the moment they arrived, they explained every detail on how the job was going to be accomplished.  Once they had the tank exposed, they examined it for any leakage and cleaned it of its residue in preparation for inspection by the city's fire department.  Once the City of Yonkers Fire Department made its inspection and determined that there was no spillage, the tank was then filled with the appropriate material and closed.  The area was then prepared and returned to its present condition.
While all of this was being done, another member of the team was engaged in the installation of the new above ground oil tank.  The installation entailed running a line from the new tank, around two sides of the house, to the boiler room.  Once the installation was completed we were instructed on the functioning of the tank.
The work was performed in a very professional manner and to our satisfaction.  The workers knew what needed to be done and did it with care and left the place meticulous.  It is without hesitation that I highly recommend them for your needs.
