"Very expensive project having my Central Air and Furnace go out at the same time. We had a new furnace installed last week and we were not satisfied with how it was working. I called Hurley and David and had a technician come out, it was determined we needed a bigger BTU furnace. I spoke to Michelle Creek who ensured me they would order a new one and have it installed. They ordered it on 6/10 and it was installed today 6/12. Jimarri Scott came to install with his crew and he was awesome!!! Very knowledgeable, polite and professional. He explained all the steps to me, kept me updated with the progress! Hopefully no more issues going forward! Thank you!"

"Michael from SOS Electric is a very professional, nice young man. He helped us to install an extra line for a towel heater in the bathroom. He called a head, showed up on time, worked very efficiently, cleaned after his work and even helped me with another things. Thank you."

"Fantastically well. Excellent advice on necessary materials and timeline for the work. Skilled, knowledgeable, and professional. Was able to adapt to unexpected situation when the floor needed to be bolstered unexpectedly without significantly adding to the project timeline. Made valuable suggestions addressing the cost of different options and the available budget, so the final product was within my cost range, but if higher quality than I thought we could afford. Would absolutely hire again."

"One painter arrived to paint the room. The total job took about two days. The next day the paint around the edges of all the walls looked like it was a different color. I called David and he sent his son (on a Sunday due to my busy schedule) and his son added another coat of paint, making everything look good.  I appreciate the flexibility and working to make sure the job was done right.

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

In Springfield, homeowners do not need permits for using over-the-counter pest control products on their own property. However, professional pest control companies must be licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources. For commercial properties or multi-family units, the Springfield Health Department may require notification or permits for certain treatments, so always confirm with local authorities before starting any major pest control project.

Helpful?

Effective pest control in Springfield requires ongoing maintenance, including monthly checks of bait stations and entry points, seasonal sealing of cracks, and trimming vegetation to reduce pest harborage. The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources recommends quarterly professional inspections and annual comprehensive assessments. Keeping your home dry, promptly fixing leaks, and storing food in sealed containers are key steps to prevent recurring infestations.

Helpful?

When conducting pest control in Springfield, always follow product label instructions, keep children and pets away from treated areas, and ventilate spaces well. The Springfield Health Department advises using exclusion materials to prevent re-entry and recommends discussing any allergies with your pest control provider. Pregnant individuals and those with respiratory conditions should avoid treated spaces until cleared safe, and always dispose of empty containers per local waste guidelines.

Helpful?

For pest control in Springfield, consider gel baits for ants and cockroaches, rodent bait stations, and exclusion materials like steel wool and weatherstripping, which are especially useful during Springfield's humid summers when pests are most active. Botanical oil sprays and diatomaceous earth are effective, eco-friendly options. Local hardware stores and home centers typically stock these supplies, and the Springfield Health Department recommends using products approved for residential use.

Helpful?

In Springfield, hidden costs during pest control often include repairing damage from pests like termites or rodents, as well as the need for follow-up treatments if infestations persist. According to the Springfield Health Department, delays in addressing pest issues can lead to additional expenses such as property repairs or health-related concerns. Regular inspections and prompt action help minimize these risks and keep your property protected.
