"The move was the best move ever, and I should know as I’ve moved multiple times in multiple states. All My Sons moving exceeded my expectations, handled everything with care, placed everything where they needed to go. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, especially Luis and Izaiah who were incredible! Completely in awe!"

"Amazing crew!!! I've done a lot of moving over the years and this had to be one the easiest, stress free moves. They were thorough, safe, clean and on time. They moved things quickly and took great care to make sure everything was wrapped properly. I would absolutely use this company again for any future needs!!!"

"Brian arrived on time and was professional and pleasant. He seems very knowledgeable about his work and explained things when needed. I will definitely hire him again to work on the list of items to be fixed/updated in my new house. He did an excellent job and gave me a few tips."

"Mr. King did an excellent job on my shed roof at a very fair price. Communication between Mr. King and myself was prompt, professional and easy. He did what he said he would do and left the area clean. I would contact him again for future jobs."

"They created a utility room on the main floor so that I can move my washer and dryer from the basement up to a main floor. It’s perfect. They installed a new shower in my main floor bathroom. They painted my house exterior and what an excellent job they did. They did multiple jobs around the inside and exterior of my home. My patio railings that they installed on portions of my roof look absolutely beautiful. These guys are so good at their work and very talented with creativity when you’re trying to think of how to improve things. I highly recommend them."

Moving questions, answered by experts

If you’re facing a full home relocation, moving large appliances, or transporting delicate antiques in Springfield, it’s best to hire a moving company or relocation services. For minor furniture shifts or single-room rearrangements, a local handyman may suffice. Multi-story homes, tight staircases, or busy downtown streets often require professional movers who understand Springfield’s unique layout and traffic patterns.

Helpful?

For moving work in Springfield, opt for double-walled boxes and heavy-duty plastic wrap to protect against humidity and rain. Use sturdy dollies with non-slip wheels for navigating hilly neighborhoods. Temperature-resistant packing tape and waterproof bins help safeguard belongings during cold winters or sudden summer storms. Local moving companies often recommend specialty padding for antiques common in Springfield’s historic homes.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Springfield often underestimate the need for advance permits for moving trucks, which can take days to process. Seasonal spikes, especially around college move-ins, increase demand for moving companies and packing services. Weather delays, narrow streets, and limited storage in older homes can complicate logistics. Don’t forget to arrange utility transfers early and confirm any changes in local school assignments if moving within the city.

Helpful?

Springfield homes, especially those built before 1950, should be checked for sturdy flooring and wide enough entryways for large furniture. Assess whether moving trucks can access your street, as some areas have tight turns or limited parking. Consider the best moving windows—late spring to early fall is ideal. If your home has steep stairs or limited storage, professional relocation services are especially helpful.

Helpful?

In Springfield, moving projects can go wrong if you overlook weatherproofing during frequent rain or snow, or ignore local parking regulations for moving trucks. Failing to use proper packing services for fragile items in older homes with narrow doorways can lead to damage. Not planning for traffic congestion or inventory documentation may cause delays and insurance issues, especially during peak moving seasons.
