"We hired Tao about 6 years ago to replace the carpet in two rooms (study/large family room) and 2nd floor with pre-finished hardwood. We were pleased with the entire process from the quick turnaround on the proposal--got it before he left our house-- to the installation process and complete cleanup. Because of our earlier experience we reached out to Tao again when it was time to sand/refinish our entire first floor. We also had very worn areas by the kitchen sink and by our dog food/water dished that needed replacement. Application of the polyurethane during refinishing can be impacted by wet/rainy weather so it's important to work with someone who takes that into account. We used movers that Tao recommended --including moving our upright piano-- and were very pleased with them. I definitely will recommend Tao to anyone who is loving for expert and practical advice on installation/refinishing of hardwood floors."

"We initially hired Steve (before we closed) to remove the carpet from a couple rooms in our new house and refinish the hardwoods underneath (why do people cover hardwoods!? Use an area rug!) After we closed we realized we really needed to refinish all the floors, and also that there wasn t hardwood under the bedroom rugs so we would have to install them. Also - midway through the project we decided to add wooden floor vents too (highly recommend doing this they look so slick!). So our initial request changed significantly, but Steve accommodated all our changes without complaint. Steve is also one of the most responsive contractors I ve worked with, and accommodated our communications over email and text, not just old school phone calls (I hate when contractors refuse to communicate over email or text - I m at work during the day and can t always take a call, so props to Steve!) I really can t emphasize how easy he was to work with and how accommodating he was. We received a few quotes and his prices are very competitive. Though we were worried about making a large deposit upfront, it was a huge relief when the new floors showed up when he said they would and when his crew showed up on time.
