John and his crew are exceptional. From estimate to completion, everything went smoothly. John answered every question right away, got back to us when we had yet another question, and alleviated any concerns. Our neighbors appreciated his diligence when cleaning up the roof debris. Repairs to facia and some other items were done as well. Price was on point. John even came back to tweak a few items and patched an area where birds were nesting. Willard CoThe Willard Company was very efficient with scheduling a visit to come give an estimate, sending the estimate, and scheduling the work to be done. The team came and replaced the gutter around the third floor balcony in one day. The price was just a little over the estimate because they replaced old wood behind the gutter which was a very good thing. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them.- Christi B.

Innovative Contracting Services IncIt went extremely well. The work didn't start on time but because our end got screwed up by lockdown stuff. They were understanding and worked with us. Once the work started it went fast. The whole team from the guys pulling boards off the house to the people in the office were friendly and communicative. We didn't have a lot of mid-project changes or challenges, but what we did was worked through and everything came out to our satisfaction. The house has received many compliments. Beantown Home Improvements, Inc.I recently had some work done by Beantown home improvement. I had a roof/siding/gutters/windows replaced. From the very beginning of the process they were outstanding. Very responsive when I initially called to get a price. During the estimate process Jim went to great lengths to explain the process, timing, and materials that were to be used. Timing was an issue due to covid. Manufacturers were shut down for a period of time which obviously delayed jobs that had been scheduled. This was explained to me upfront to there would be no misunderstandings as to the scheduled start date. Communication was very thorough throughout the entire process, if you have questions Jim will get back to you with answers (sometimes within minutes!). The job lasted longer than expected due to weather and shortness of days but they got the job done before the winter. I could not be happier with the quality of the work that was done and wouldn’t hesitate for a minute before calling them for future projects.- ed g.

I had Tony and his crew come to my house and replace my gutters and downspouts. After the job was completed my wife and I noticed that when it was windy one of the new downspouts vibrated so bad I actually thought it might come off the house. I called Fox Gutters and was repeatedly told they were very busy and could not say when they could come back and fix the problem. After 3 weeks I gave up all hope and fixed it myself. Only needed another bracket to secure it. I cannot recommend Fox Gutters to do any work due to their lack of customer service and follow up.

Falcon Gutter was hired to repair the gutters and do some carpentry on rotted trim boards and facia. They proposed to replace the gutters all together. Initially they were prompt to estimate, quick to start the work and completed it in a day. We ended up with wrong size planks placed, caulk smeared over the rotten parts and half of rotten boards not replaced at all. Gutters leak at the seams and the water collects due to incorrect pitch. They once attempted to address the problems with no results and the owner now gets upset with issues pointed out to him. Hiring someone else to fix the issues. Totally dissatisfied and do not recommend.

Matt Amaru from R.J. Scalzi & Sons is a true craftsman. We chose him to reside our split-level house (CertainTeed Pacific Blue), and we couldn't be happier. The photos speak for themselves -- our midcentury house looks brand-new, and we've had multiple neighbors stop by to compliment the results. Matt was thorough and thoughtful from the start. He took time to explain the options, then gave a detailed estimate and broke down the costs for each line item. He also provided numerous examples of houses he'd worked on so we could go check out the work for ourselves. He was very responsive and communicative throughout the process, and gave regular updates about what to expect. His team was great, hardworking, and friendly. I was very excited the day they put up the signature fan detail over our dining room window (see second picture). We're an official part of the Scalzi portfolio now! As others have said, Matt goes the extra mile. He went out of his way to troubleshoot a roof drainage issue over our porch caused by less-than-stellar work performed by a previous contractor, and relocated a tricky downspout without hesitation when we asked. Matt and team also did an incredibly thorough job keeping the site clean, with Matt making extra visits to our house before snowstorms just to tidy up materials and tools. I really can't say enough good stuff about Matt in particular and R.J. Scalzi in general. I wish I had another house that needed re-siding just so I could watch the transformation happen all over again. We're going to miss having Matt and the guys around!
