"From the Owner through the whole team; Sales Admin, Work Crew (Paint Preparation, Carpentry / repairs, and Painters)... the entire experience with the Martins team was exceptional. Fare and affordable price. No Problem attitudes, caring and polite, attention to details, go the extra mile and clearly take pride in their work. If I new the cost would be so minimal I would never had started the project on my own - my free time is way more valuable. Thank You!"

"We had a serious water heater leak throughout 4 rooms. Rick had the floor dismantled and replaced - better than it had been originally. The original installers had not staggered the planks — he did and the floors look better than ever. Rick and the men who did the work couldn't have been more professional while getting the job done!! So happy with the results that I would definitely hire Rick again for any future work needing to be done!"

"We just bought a new house and ripped up all the carpet in the downstairs.  We found that under some of the carpet there was already hardwood flooring, but it was not in good condition.  We wanted to compare prices for putting all new hardwood vs just sanding and refinishing what was there, and only installing new wood where it was absolutely necessary.  Bill told us that the wood in part of the house was a good quality wood, and he said he had a few pieces of it that he could use to patch the unrepairable areas, and then he could sand and refinish it all.  We also had him install new hardwood in two of the rooms.  We had been a little nervous about the patching, as we got a few estimates, and everyone who came in told us that a different type of wood was needed.  We are VERY pleased with the way the floors look.  The areas that were patched look perfect, and the wood that we thought was "not in good condition" looks as good as new.  The new hardwood that they installed is absolutely beautiful."

"Warren responded immediately to a stain emergency from a bottle of Wood Polish (oily and dark stain) on a beige car carpet. He would have come on a Sunday, but we scheduled for Monday. He did a great job and removed the stain. He was professional, polite and did a great job. We are completely relieved and will definitely call him up for any future carpet or tapestry cleaning needs."

"We had a situation where our 2500 ft² church building needed a top to bottom cleaning in a very short period of time. PD cleaning services came in and gave us a complete makeover! The church has never been cleaner and is now a very pleasant place to spend time in community. We are very much looking forward to continuing with a weekly cleaning using the service provider. I highly recommend this service!"

"Andreia and her companion came over in February 2021 and did a fantastic job cleaning up a kitchen sorely in need of some work (floors, open pantry, counters. . . ) and also the bathroom. She was kind in making time for me, as I needed to have work done in a hurry. She was friendly, professional, thorough, extremely pleasant to deal with, and reasonable. Any one who hires her is fortunate indeed to have the benefit of her services."

Floor Polishers questions, answered by experts

You can mop bamboo floors, but exercise caution to protect the material from excess moisture, which can seep into the bamboo, causing it to warp and well. Moisten a microfiber mop and wring it out until it’s just damp, or use a pH-neutral cleaner, as this will prevent damage to the bamboo fibers. Avoid harsh chemicals, like traditional floor cleaners. After cleaning, wipe the floor dry.

Both buffing and polishing increase the longevity of your floors by removing scratches and buildup, but they are different processes. Polishing removes the top layer of your floor, removing surface-level scuffs and scratches. Buffing your floor involves filling the scratches and scuffs with a buffing solution. No matter which method you choose, you can rest assured that both techniques will leave your floor looking shiny and new.

Steam mops can be a better option than traditional mops because the steam can lift stubborn dirt from floors without using chemicals, and it also kills bacteria and dust mites. However, steam mops have drawbacks: they are more expensive, require an electrical outlet, and are not suitable for all flooring types, such as laminate or hardwood, which can be damaged by the steam.

Regular mopping can also sanitize floors effectively when done with the right cleaning products and techniques, though it may require more effort. The main advantage of a traditional mop is its versatility, as it can be used on any type of flooring. Ultimately, the best choice depends on your floor type, budget, and cleaning preferences.

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

To maintain tile and grout, clean the surfaces regularly with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and wipe up spills promptly to prevent buildup. It is also important to reseal the grout every 1-2 years to maintain its durability.
