"We hired Norman builders to convert our basement into an inlaw for my mother - full kitchen, bathroom, etc. Ryan was always very responsive and did a good job scoping the level of effort. His team was great to work with. They were always very respectful, reliable, punctual, and trust worthy. The very few things that didn't go as I thought (minor) - Ryan was quick to fix. I'd definitely recommend using them for any project, it came out great and we are very happy with the finished product!"

"Next Level Masonry rebuilt my front steps with Granite steps (4) and used granite pieces for the sides and front. They installed two-tone pavers for the walkway. The crew was amazing and their work is awesome!! I would recommend Next Level Masonry to anyone. The crew works hard, they are on time, and are very precise in measurements."

"LBJ did a great job. Brian answered my inquiry quickly and was prompt with the inspection. He kept me informed of the schedule and worked around my schedule and the weather. He also was on the job site every day and kept me informed about what they found. He assessed things every step of the way and made helpful recommendations as the job progressed. He cared about doing the job right, and the crew was pleasant and easy to work with. They had to rebuild a foundation outside and re-mortar and seal the inside, which was a huge job, and Brian made sure they did it right. I would highly recommend LBJ."

"After at least 30 years of major wear and tear, our bluestone patio around our swimming pool required a MAJOR restoration. The bids we got from folks ranged widely, but only Ion seemed to understand what it would take and came in with a more than reasonable bid. This was no small project and took over two weeks to complete, and every step of the way Ion and his one-person crew were on the job promptly each morning and took care to consult us on every issue that came up. He also took the time to make certain we could deal with various daily tasks and even a major crisis (our water heater tank broke, flooding the basement in week two -- meaning they had to deal with heavy traffic in and around their working area at times). Despite the tumult, the progressed nicely throughout.... The restoration itself looks wonderful and enhanced the look (and certainly the value) of the property. We were constantly consulted on decisions related to material and design, and the Ion's craftsmanship is evident in the final product. We highly recommend I.C. Masonry and Ion will be our first call whenever we have need for his skills."

"The team did wonderful job and carefully explained to me what to do with my outdated but still working sump pump. I was also educated on the rationale of using sump pump. (I am a woman ignorant of all these house gadgets!)"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking can be an expensive foundation repair process, but in many cases, it’s well worth the investment. This is especially true if you’re lifting a portion of sunken foundation slab back into place. In that case, mudjacking can help avoid major structural damage and even home collapse by restoring the integrity of your structure with minimally invasive procedures. Mudjacking a concrete patio, walkway, or sidewalk can be worthwhile because it removes tripping hazards and makes your outdoor area more aesthetically appealing.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.
