"Gil from NE carpentry did a lot of work for me. The most impressive was that Gil worked with me to repair my interior front porch after a massive leak during a storm destroyed it. Because my house is on the beach and very exposed, every other contractor declined the job. Gil and his team were very rigorous and patient and they did succeed in waterproofing the porch. They did rebuild it and did fantastic work. The team communicates well, is always on time, does a great job and always clean after the workday. Their prices are very fair and transparent. "The entire job from start to finish took three months... not bad for a hundred year old house. Plumbing and electric work was very reliable. They also have a very talented woodworker who was able to reuse much of the original wood to repair a window sill, trim, and baseboard. Whenever we had any concerns they were addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. They also had a beautiful selection of cabinets and granite counter tops to choose from. "We hired EA Masonry a year ago to rebuild the 12 step stone stairway with a landing from the driveway to the sidewalk around the house and the three steps to the front door. The workmanship was excellent so we accepted their bid to reconstruct the patio behind the house and build a walkway in the side garden. Once again the workmanship was excellent, from the removal of the old patio to the establishment of a superior base and the design and meticulous installation of a three-piece paver pattern. What separates the work of these masons is the attention to detail and the extra touches they bring to the job, not to mention their dependability and professionalism. I signed a proposal to have Duncan Builders take care of the contract work and I needed to build at my salon. They moved a bathroom door from one wall to the next.
