"Was quoted $200 for a dishwasher install. All parts were provided by me. It was delivered by Home Depot but they did not provide installation. My problem is not with the installation at all. The worker was very polite and did an excellent job, installing the dishwasher in less than 45 minutes installation. Once he arrived, I was giving a bill for $415, double what I was quoted. I voiced my dismay at the difference and he called his boss who suddenly was able to change the cost to $315. So, I would be paying him at a rate of over $400 per hour for ONLY LABOR. Seems a bit exorbitant, do not you think? Now here is where the really ridiculous part happens. My check bounced due to a deposit not clearing in time. Minor error. It happens. Most businesses will wait a day or two and resubmit it. They called me and claimed they tried to submit it three times. I check with the bank and it is immediately apparent that they are lying and have only attempted once. I asked them to submit it again because I get paid tomorrow. I never refused to pay though they acted as if that was what I was doing ð . Instead they lied about the original quote, then told me they were going to send police to my house. 𠤯 Seriously?? What is this? The 17th century? Would I be going to debtor prison? I do not think they know how the law works. So, they will be paid as I promised.... and then I am going to make certain that everyone in 100 mile radius knows about their shady tactics. This is not a good company at all. I feel sorry for the plumber because he was quite nice, but their management is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with in decades. PLATINUM HOME SERVICES? More like tin foil."

"As a property manager, we contacted a local company to look at a furnace over a minor leak. I received a phone call from somebody who is wishy-washy, unprofessional, and caused me to treat the call with extra caution. After realizing he had no intention to look at the problem that was called about, I was explained that the heat exchanger was starting to have issues, causing carbon monoxide. When I asked, why doesnâ t the detectors catch it and he said Sometimes it doesnâ t and sometimes itâ s not bad enough yet. So I asked him is there a problem or something that you believe is coming and I could not get a straight answer. He threatened to shut the heating system off Safety concerns. To shut the heat off on my tenant on a cold day. My big issue is how they went about this, instead of shutting the gas off or possibly the breaker, I learned later in the day that they cut wiring inside of furnace. Which I promptly had repaired. And I had the heating system taken apart to confirm or deny whether the heat exchanger Had a crack in it or not. Come to find out everything is fine, all done, by a licensed HVAC person. After discussing this with other people, I have found that this company is prone to pressureTactics, threats and scams. Stay away from Blue Bear of Pembroke!!
