The technician (Bobby) arrived on time and was both easy going and professional in his approach to a job that was not apparently as cut and dry as it looked. In the end, the innovative work (due to irregular initial craftsmanship on the chimney) Bobby did looked significantly better that the material (my chimney remnants) he had to work with. "The crew arrived on time and did a thorough job. The reason this rating isn't higher is because the crew chief had been in my house no more than 10 minutes before diagnosing what he said was a dangerous level of creosote in our chimney and recommending installation of a $1,000+ chimney liner, which his company would of course be happy to sell us. I said no, thanks. The next year I hired another service - Emener ([*** Link removed ***] - which told me that the chimney was actually in good shape and pretty clean considering how much we use the fireplace. 5 Star clearly used its promotional offer as a way to upsell an expensive add-on that I am now convinced wasn't needed. Beware of deals that look too good to be true."

"Installation went fine until I noticed several weeks later that it was harder to keep house warm and there was significant draft by the woodstove insert. I went outside and looked at the chimney cap installed by Kevin Fredrickson and noticed it was off center of the chimney and the base of the cap was only covering 2/3rds of the opening and no insulation was placed around the liner so heat was funneling right up the chimney and outside.  I contacted Kevin and he responded within a few days and agreed to take a look.  When he arrived he didn't have the tools or ability to fix the cap due to snow so he stuffed insulation around the chimney liner from inside the house to keep the drafts down and stated he would be back in spring to fix the cap.  As of June 1, 2015 he hadn't contacted me or arrived to fix the cap so I tried to contact Kevin Fredrickson but got no response.  As of 10/9/2015  (the date of this review) Kevin had not contacted me or made any attempts to properly attach the chimney cap installed by Integrity Chimney Services LLC.

On Friday October 16, 2015 Kevin stopped by and properly attached chimney cap to chimney and corrected the issue."

"These guys did an outstanding job.  Prompt, professional, honest, friendly, kept a neat work site, beautiful work and had an excellent price.  My house was built in 1906 and the old chimney above the roofline was in pretty rough shape - ready to come down.  I had four different companies that I found on Angies List come over and give estimates.  Rich was the first person to come for an estimate and ultimately the one I chose.  His estimate was lower than the competition and gave a good first impression.  They came over a couple weeks later to do the rebuild and I couldn't be more pleased.  They were here for two days, always here when they said they would be and immediately set-up staging to demolish the old chimney.  The new chimney is beautiful - they used nice looking bricks and installed a nice cap.  It's a brand new chimney, but it looks like it's always been here.  I would highly recommend these guys.
