"We hired King’s Pavers and Masonry to install a paver walkway along the side of our house less than a year ago. Unfortunately, the pavers were sloped incorrectly, causing water to pool against the house, and the walkway is already collapsing due to poor workmanship. The pathway itself is uneven—making it difficult to roll a grill or anything else over it—and the overall shape of the walkway is noticeably crooked. While the work is under warranty, the company has refused to respond to repeated attempts to contact them, including certified mail."

"Alan Taylor is a horrible professional to work with. We hired him as an architect for our project and regretted it bitterly. Alan caused numerous delays, exploiting the fact that we simply were dependent on him once the design was approved by Boston building department. Each interraction with Alan took forever and his endless requests to get directly in touch with various committees, professionals working on the project, were absolutely not necessary, exclusively justifying Alan's overbilling. I will give 2 examples: my son was scammed out of $11k when he maid a payment to Alan, who then insisted that it was not him giving the bank info for money transfer, but hackers of his email. It took my son 4 months to get the money back, thanks to his bank, with Alan demanding a full payment over and over again, which resulted in almost 6 months delay. At the final stage of the project,while preparation of the condo association documents, Alan had to prepare as is building plan. One does not need to be an architect to realize that 1 site visit for measurements and max a couple of hours to review the engineering plans and add 8 annotations should not take 2.5 months and be billed $3680. I would strongly encourage everyone to stay away from this person."

"We live in a 1940s Cape and wanted to open up our downstairs and expand our kitchen. We also wanted to switch our downstairs full bath and upstairs 1/2 bath, and to add a third bedroom upstairs. In addition to quoting us the best price, Bauman Remodeling was also the only contractor to suggest vaulting our upstairs ceilings (and the only one not intimidated by our wish to keep our steam radiators). The extra ceiling height upstairs ended up being one of the best results from our remodel; we no longer feel like we're in an attic. Another highlight is the built-in around our fireplace. It looks like it's always been here. In fact, something of great importance to us during this remodel was making sure that anything new to the house fit the existing parts, and Mike did everything possible to make that happen, including traveling to multiple stores to find just the right moulding. With any job this big, there are inevitably going to be surprises and setbacks, but Mike was always willing to do whatever it took to make things right. He was honest, fair, and accessible throughout the project. And our new kitchen and bathrooms are beautiful. I highly recommend Bauman Remodeling."

"The initial build went reasonably well. We did find problems which they did come back and fix. I noticed a railing support that was cracked. I was told that I must of done it, that was that. The plugs that cover the screw holes in the stairs are falling out. I looked for some at Home Depot, but couldn't find the right color. I still had Chase's cell #, so I texted him and asked if he could send me some plugs, and I would do it myself. No response. Tried again the next day, still no response. I'm not surprised. Aging the build was decent, price was higher than most. Now that nearly 2 years have gone by, and customer service should be anticipated, nothing. Never again."

We usually do all of our hedge abs shrub trimming ourselves, but with a few other projects going on we hadn’t gotten them all season long and they were seriously overgrown. Since we COULD do it ourselves, we had a limit on what we were willing to pay, so we were getting several quotes … most of which were higher than we had hoped. Roberto worked with us on the pricing, which was good news because now it was off of our plate! His crew was there the early next day … fast, friendly, courteous, conscientious and neat! "Veglia Remodeling was wonderful to work with. Jeff gave me an estimate for the labor/work on my bathroom remodel. He also suggested vendors to work with and suggested meeting them to choose materials (which was the other cost of course). That was very helpful. Jeff was always available via text or phone. Mostly text. He was the point person if I had concerns. Always gracious. Happy to weigh in if I wasn't sure about something. He has a number of people who he works with and they were all very professional and everyone always cleaned up when they left for the day. I felt very fortunate to have Jeff commit to my project since my bathroom is extremely small (two people standing in it is a crowd) and it can be tough to find someone who will work on a small project."
