"You may be reading this because hiring contractors to do work you know little about is a bit anxiety provoking and can result in some unpleasant results. Even though I have a background in engineering and construction, I moved forward with vinyl siding my home with some trepidation. My wife and I did some research and through a friend’s recommendation hired RJ Scalzi and Sons. The work scope included replacing fascia boards, rake boards, gutters, shutters and downspouts and installing vinyl siding. Jason and Matt showed up on time, and it very soon became clear that they were extremely skilled at their craft. Through every step of the project, they took measures to minimize inconveniencing us, including location of work vehicles and work benches, preventing damage to lawn, shrubs and trees, securing artwork on walls and shelves to prevent damage, communicating updates on schedule and timelines and maintaining a neat work area. Not only did it appear that Jason and Matt were talented, but it was also obvious that they have honed an extremely efficient team that executes work safely, quickly and with the highest quality. Two minor unexpected and out of work scope problems arose during the project that instead of dropping on my lap, as they rightfully could have, they took action and got resolved. Over the days Jason and Matt worked on our home, we were constantly impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work. A major plus was the professional, considerate and friendly demeanor both young men exhibited throughout the project. We enjoyed listening to their good natured banter, that didn’t slow them down one bit, and interacting with them. The completed project looks great and met all of our requirements, a neighbor even stopped by and asked for an estimate. "From the very start ,Dan, the sales representative was extremely helpful in answering the many questions we had regarding the siding of our house. He told us that we may have to wait a few months as they were booked, but if they had an opening they would side the house sooner. True to his word they came as soon as they could. Just two months after our first contact with Beantown, they were ready to side our house. They explained how the process would take place, and it all happened just as they said. The work was done in two days. The workers were extremely professional. On day one of the job I returned home from work and saw that they had removed all the old siding and shingles, and had already started framing the windows. My husband said there were 12 workers present on the second day. I came home from work to see that my entire house was sided. Several neighbors had stopped by to tell me how well they worked. "United Home was excellent.  They are very professional and really know what to do.  Our roof had been done by a builder iin 2007 and we had leaks and mold issue.  United stripped the roof, took off all plywood with mold and put new roof on.  They were very quick and were wonderful.  In my opinion there is no one better.  Their knowledge about all products, be it roofing, or siding or windows, etc. is exceptional. "

"In addition to doing a fantastic job they also roofed my shed that was not in the contract, rebuilt a flat roof and cut in a ridge vent and soffits at no extra cost. I have a 1870 Victorian house with a Tower. The Tower is a tricky job. Freddy's guys did a super job. After the job was paid for I had a water leak but not because of the job they did. Freddy and his guys came back and sealed areas of the siding causing the problem. Customer service after the job is done, is extremely important to me.
