"You may be reading this because hiring contractors to do work you know little about is a bit anxiety provoking and can result in some unpleasant results. Even though I have a background in engineering and construction, I moved forward with vinyl siding my home with some trepidation. My wife and I did some research and through a friend’s recommendation hired RJ Scalzi and Sons. The work scope included replacing fascia boards, rake boards, gutters, shutters and downspouts and installing vinyl siding. Jason and Matt showed up on time, and it very soon became clear that they were extremely skilled at their craft. Through every step of the project, they took measures to minimize inconveniencing us, including location of work vehicles and work benches, preventing damage to lawn, shrubs and trees, securing artwork on walls and shelves to prevent damage, communicating updates on schedule and timelines and maintaining a neat work area. Not only did it appear that Jason and Matt were talented, but it was also obvious that they have honed an extremely efficient team that executes work safely, quickly and with the highest quality. Two minor unexpected and out of work scope problems arose during the project that instead of dropping on my lap, as they rightfully could have, they took action and got resolved. Over the days Jason and Matt worked on our home, we were constantly impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work. A major plus was the professional, considerate and friendly demeanor both young men exhibited throughout the project. We enjoyed listening to their good natured banter, that didn’t slow them down one bit, and interacting with them. The completed project looks great and met all of our requirements, a neighbor even stopped by and asked for an estimate. "We have lived in our home for ~ 2.5 years. As a result of inferior workmanship and materials used by the original contractor (someone other than United) , we contracted with United to redo our siding, our exterior trim, and our entry doors. Nik was our estimator and he was a pleasure to work with. We've dealt with estimators in the past and most of them prefer to quote a price without going into detail. Nik, without any prompting from us, went into detail to define what we would be getting for the quoted price. Weuler was our project manager; he was very courteous. He would communicate in advance what the crew would plan to work on for the day or week. He would also let us know if weather prevented the crew from working. Junior was our foreman and it is obvious that he has much experience, and his team has much experience. They would arrive promptly at 7AM each day and begin to set up equipment and position materials to be deployed. They were very well organized; it appeared to us that everyone knew exactly what their role was each day they came onsite. They were also super respectful and cleaned up thoroughly after each day of work. United installed Everlast composite siding and PVC trim on our 3,000+ square foot home. If you have a chance to visit United's building in Ashland, you will understand why they are so good at what they do...there is an indoor training facility where they teach how to properly install siding! We are loving our newly resided home, and would use United again in a heartbeat. You will find they are not going to be the cheapest quote, but I believe we got what we paid for and there were no ugly surprises. We've dealt with contractors in the past who quoted low and then tried to cut corners to make up for it during the project; United is the opposite of those guys. You will not be disappointed with their finished product or surprised in an unpleasant way!"

This was a huge project and Patriot did an excellent job, even in the face of COVID-related shortages. "Many from DC Carpenter was the first to respond to our request on Home Advisor. He came out the same day with his team Dennis and Cosme. Initially, we wanted two thirds of the front of our barn siding but the quote was so competitive compared to the others we received we had the complete front sided. The team also replaced some wood shingles on other areas of the barn. Many was wonderful keeping us updated as the work progressed and when unexpected prior damage was found he explained everything to us. The quality of the work is excellent. The barn looks amazing. The team was professional and friendly and the communication between Many and myself was very effective. He would always respond within 15 minutes. "We called three different contractors for our Asbestos Abatement project, two of which took over a week to get back to us but Maria with Impressair Environmental was incredibly responsive and professional.  They were able to come out the very next morning to give us an estimate and they came in substantially under the other bids we received.
They were incredibly professional and explained every detail about how they would go about abating our asbestos, the chain of custody paperwork, third party air testing, notification to the DEP and pulling associated permits.  They came out on time, and in two days our enormous amount of asbestos was gone without any trace.

"In addition to doing a fantastic job they also roofed my shed that was not in the contract, rebuilt a flat roof and cut in a ridge vent and soffits at no extra cost. I have a 1870 Victorian house with a Tower. The Tower is a tricky job. Freddy's guys did a super job. After the job was paid for I had a water leak but not because of the job they did. Freddy and his guys came back and sealed areas of the siding causing the problem. Customer service after the job is done, is extremely important to me. Customer satisfaction is truly important to Freddy. Freddy was always easy to get a hold of If I had a question. I have recommended Freddy to a friend (and he got the job) and will continue to recommend to others. I feel fortunate to have had Golden Group Construction do my roof and I know if I have any issues even years from now, they will take care of it. I have 100% confidence in them"
