"You may be reading this because hiring contractors to do work you know little about is a bit anxiety provoking and can result in some unpleasant results. Even though I have a background in engineering and construction, I moved forward with vinyl siding my home with some trepidation. My wife and I did some research and through a friend’s recommendation hired RJ Scalzi and Sons. The work scope included replacing fascia boards, rake boards, gutters, shutters and downspouts and installing vinyl siding. Jason and Matt showed up on time, and it very soon became clear that they were extremely skilled at their craft. Through every step of the project, they took measures to minimize inconveniencing us, including location of work vehicles and work benches, preventing damage to lawn, shrubs and trees, securing artwork on walls and shelves to prevent damage, communicating updates on schedule and timelines and maintaining a neat work area. Not only did it appear that Jason and Matt were talented, but it was also obvious that they have honed an extremely efficient team that executes work safely, quickly and with the highest quality. Two minor unexpected and out of work scope problems arose during the project that instead of dropping on my lap, as they rightfully could have, they took action and got resolved. Over the days Jason and Matt worked on our home, we were constantly impressed with the quality and efficiency of their work. A major plus was the professional, considerate and friendly demeanor both young men exhibited throughout the project. We enjoyed listening to their good natured banter, that didn’t slow them down one bit, and interacting with them. "Many from DC Carpenter was the first to respond to our request on Home Advisor. He came out the same day with his team Dennis and Cosme. Initially, we wanted two thirds of the front of our barn siding but the quote was so competitive compared to the others we received we had the complete front sided. The team also replaced some wood shingles on other areas of the barn. Many was wonderful keeping us updated as the work progressed and when unexpected prior damage was found he explained everything to us. The quality of the work is excellent. The barn looks amazing. "Extremely well. I hired Impresair to remove a layer of asbestos shingles from the exterior of my house. But, as the asbestos shingles were gradually removed, we discovered that the house also had a second layer of asphalt shingles under the asbestos shingle layer that was visible. This meant that a second, and unexpected, layer of siding also needed to be removed and hauled away. No problem for Impresair. They just brought in additional workers to complete the extra removal work on schedule...and finished the work on a day when we were experiencing showers for the entire day. They simply worked through the showers. Impresair is a very professional company and I strongly recommend them to anyone who is interested in removing asbestos shingles from an old house. They arrived on time and the crew worked very diligently for three long days. When the siding was all off, they cleaned up the job site very well and made every attempt to locate any stray nails that might have been overlooked during the clean up work. A week later, they sent me a number of official documents for my retention that serve to substantiate that asbestos had been remediated successfully at my address. I am truly delighted with the results and would definitely hire them again for any future asbestos removal work that I might need."

"Golden Group removed old roof shingles and installed newshingles including Ice&Water barrier. It was about 3200 SF of roofing. Additionally, they fixed our vinyl siding replacing about 15 sq.yards of discolored siding with new one. Starting with very professional presentation by Freddy (owner) and excellent quote, the Golden Group took advantage of early warm days in March. They arrived promptly at 7am (including dumpster) in full force of about 10 people. Perectly organized and working as a team they quickly removed old shingles, protecting the house and surroundings with large tarps (no damage anywhere whatsoever). Then they installed Ice$Water barrier on most of the roof. Finally they installed new beautiful shingles, perfectly and very precisely. At the end they jumped on our siding repairs, finishing pretty much everything by 5pm in a single day! They cleaned everything around the house. Amazing job. Money well spent!"
