"My wife and I moved into our home in the spring of 2022. Our house is 20 years old and it was our dream to redo our kitchen. We had no experience working with contractors before and when we asked around our neighborhood for recommendations, Perry Brothers came up over and over. We came up with a wish list which required renovating the kitchen, taking down walls, refinishing and replacing floors on the first and second floor, putting in a beam and crown molding and repainting large pieces of our home. (A tall order) Perry brothers sent over Mike Hathaway to lead our project. This guy redefines professional. He helped in every step of the process. He helped plan, price, schedule and execute our vision. My wife and I were worried about budget and timing, and Mike made sure we were always heard and taken care of. He is truly a can do person and was super kind in the face of any of our anxieties. The work Perry Brother performed is nothing short of remarkable. To say we were surprised at the end product is an understatement. In a time where interest rates are extremely high, making the most of your home is extremely important. My wife and I have a one year old and another one due in March. After all the work we did, it really feels like we had a chance to put our fingerprint down and we would highly recommend working with Perry Brothers again. We have worked on exterior and interior projects, additions, bathrooms, kitchens, decks, repairs, basement remodels, and more. Sanfer Rocha and his team have an outstanding work ethic. He prices his work fairly and does great work. If you want a quick, sloppy job, you need to look elsewhere. There are many contractors who will work cheap and their results reflect the price and attitude. D&S Construction is the rare company performing excellent work at a reasonable price. Sanfer refuses to do things any way but the RIGHT way. His quality is top notch. He treats his subcontractors fairly and they return the favor by doing great work. "The Curtice Group finished our bathroom renovation in early April 2023. We can give a wholehearted positive review for Scott Curtice’s coordination of the project including keeping to and even improving upon the original schedule, cost transparency throughout, and thoughtful approaches to both design as well as any problems encountered. Scott was an excellent communicator all through the work, being both accessible and responsive to our concerns and questions. Proficient management of the timing of subcontractors by Scott and his project managers was key to the success of the process. All of the above contributed to a great result. The bathroom work included a complete change in the location of the original plumbing and an extension into another room. Scott designed a bathroom that fits our needs, which includes a lot of storage as well as a feeling of spaciousness in what is not really a big space. At the outset, he recommended vendors, always with the caveat that we could choose our own. He also accompanied us to a vendor for the main plumbing components of the bathroom. For access during the work, he created a temporary entrance that would allow access to the work site without going through the rest of the house. In addition to the bathroom, we changed multiple interior doors, replaced the original basement windows and door, changed multiple lighting fixtures and did additional carpentry work. We also addressed remedial plumbing problems in the basement as well as in another bathroom."

"George is absolutely the best contractor we have ever worked with. He is pleasant, professional, detail oriented, a great problem solver and a master at all of his crafts. He provides detailed descriptions and costs of all the work to be done. He and his crew completely gutted the kitchen in our 1890 Victorian home. Because of settling, our floors and ceiling were less than level. George and his crew were brilliant about solving the issue. No more slanted floors and squeaks. He made the installation of the cabinetry look effortless. He also created a much needed laundry room for us. We absolutely love our kitchen. George and his crew are a delight to work with."

"The work took much longer than expected (4 months) and we ran right down to the max on what our home owner's insurance would allow for us to be put up in a hotel. D & R worked to fit us in around a lot of other jobs and this made it difficult to get much done quickly or more than 1-day per week of work in. One subcontractor was unprofessional and refused to do work he had agreed to causing us a 3-week delay. D & R was open with communication of setbacks or concerns, which we appreciated, and eventually replaced the subcontractor. Overall I am happy with the work. Some small details might be improved in the finish work. For example, there are some small lumps in some drywall patches that the painters might have finished better and one section of ceiling paint that did not match the rest of the ceiling. The flooring was replaced on the entire second floor (apx. 800 sq feet) and they did a great job with this especially considering they had all the furniture to contend with while they did the work. They provide a guarantee for a year for their work. The owner is responsive to contacts and pleasant. I would hire them again."

"We had the need to renovate/remodel our Master Bathroom, 1st floor bathroom, and our kitchen. We started interviewing prospective contractors, which in its own is a challenging experience. Some people acted like they wanted the job, others postponed appointments or cancelled all together. Bob Ayotte came to our home, sat down with my wife and I and listened to what we wanted, or at least what we thought we wanted at that point. He offered some ideas and concepts, but deferred to our vision. He took the time to visit each room, the spaces below them, the spaces above them, the wiring, the plumbing, the ventilation, etc. with an attention to detail. He asked lots of questions, took in my answers and my wife’s answers, which at times opened our eyes because our answers didn’t always match. There was never a sales approach, just a consultative approach. By the time he left, I said to my wife, “If his price is in the ballpark, and his communication and follow up on the proposal is professional, we have found our contractor.” Indeed, the price was in the right range, and the communication and follow up could not have been more professional. Bob delivered everything when he said that he would. He took the time to walk us through the proposal and answer a great number of questions. We came to agreement and decided to move forward. My experience with people who own their own companies is that I run into many people who are either “artists”: people who gifted in their craft who fail at running the business aspect including communication, or “business people” who are great at running the business, but fail at the art of their craft. Bob was so good at the business aspect, that I legitimately worried about his ability to deliver on the art. If you share that concern, or my view on artists vs business people, let me assure you that Bob is both. We tackled the master bath first, as a separate project. Everything went exactly according to schedule. We met with Bob’s tile subcontractor, Brian at Nashua Tile Center. We picked out what we wanted, and awaited his estimate. My wife chose some very nice tile, and we ended up $900 over our expected budget…$900 over Bob’s original estimate. Over the course of the remainder of the projects, this would be the only cost over-run which was not due to us adding some new scope of work, like deciding on a bench for the shower, or for a glass shower door instead of the original shower curtain concept. We more than made up for that budget over-run in credits that came back to us in other areas, including being under budget on tile for our kitchen and 1st floor bath (which of course, allowed us to add more scope to the job anyhow). All in all, aside for things that we CHOSE to add to the project, we were roughly $200 over budget for all three rooms: Master Bath, 1st Floor Bath, and Kitchen combined! The Master Bath Project from start to end took 4 weeks, just as Bob had outlined for us. It was delivered on time, and within budget. Further, his sub-contractors for tile, electrical, plumbing, plaster, painting and floor refinishing treated our home with great respect throughout the process, always taking time to prepare the area for work, protect our floors, take precautions to control dirt and dust, and to clean up every day when the work was done. Bob’s crew of himself, Mike, and Austin were friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. I worked from home throughout the entire project, so I saw first-hand how they went about their business each day. The finished product, our Master Bath, is amazing. Friends who have seen it say that it looks like something they would find in a spa. The work was fantastic. All permits and inspections were handled by Bob and team, and they were flawless. We were excited to move on to the kitchen and first floor bath. A friend of mine had helped me with my kitchen cabinets, so they were supplied independently. Everything else went according to plan. As I stated above, the same crew from Ayotte Home Improvements, and the same sub-contractors came in, treated my home and my family with great respect, and delivered the job on budget, and on time. Bob went out of his way on several occasions to help me out with items that came up where he could either save me some money on something, save me time on something, or just help me to move a fridge, or remove a fridge, just a bunch of items that he really didn’t have to do, but he did because I believe he is just genuinely a nice guy who wants happy customers and successful projects. Toward the end of the kitchen and bath project, it became evident that we would be foolish to not extend our new colors and woodwork into our dining room and living room. Bob just rolled with the changes, managed his sub-contractors and adjusted accordingly as we added scope (and cost). He was incredibly patient with us. Throughout the entire process, the professionalism and communication never waned. Bob and I exchanged emails and text messages on a regular basis. The artist and the business person never conflicted. The project plan was accurate each week. The payments and dollars owed were always correct. This project went so well, we have Bob and his team back to add a two car garage and mud room now."
