"Totally recommend this company, they trimmed a large tree and also removed debris from another tree that went down in a windstorm a week earlier. The tree trimmers were great especially the man that climbed the tree and did the trimming, but the real reason for the 5 stars was the cleanup guys John and Steven who worked so hard and left my yard looking immaculate. Real nice crew, polite, respectful, and hard workers. Thanks to all especially John and Steven. Shelley Rudnick"

Customers say: Quick response

"I am very pleased with their quick response and dedication to the job at hand. We had a very large Boxwood Elder Tree that needed to be removed. A large portion hung into a neighbors yard and the neighbor was very impressed with the work that was done. Both properties were cleaned up after the job. I would hire them again and highly recommend them."

"We hired Mr. Jimmy Strunk to assemble our daughter's Backyard Discovery wooden swing set. He was very kind and responsive, and he completed the assembly safely and in a timely manner. Our toddler now has a sturdy swing set of her own! I definitely recommend Cornerstone Property Maintenance for your home projects!"

"Very professional and efficient. We had a dead tree that needed removed and no one else would do it due to close proximity to power lines and being in a dense neighborhood. He removed the tree cleanly and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg to do it. We would definitely use him again!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Palm tree removal can cost anywhere between $100 and $1,800 depending on palm size, tree condition, labor, location, and the amount of prep work involved. With the necessary skills, a DIY palm tree removal for trees shorter than 15 feet can lower costs. However, it’s generally recommended that you hire a palm tree expert for tree removal.

Debris removal is often included in the overall cost of having a tree removed from your property. However, tree maintenance service companies do not always include debris removal in their pricing, so ask any contractors offering tree trimming cost estimates whether or not removal is included. If you want to keep the wood mulch, ask if they charge extra for it as well.

Although it’s possible, heavy machinery like a crane is necessary for removing an entire tree stump and all. This procedure is extremely costly, time-consuming, and usually unnecessary, as there are plenty of convenient and affordable stump removal options.

Your best bet, if you want to be sure to remove a tree and its stump efficiently, is to speak with a professional. They’ll be able to walk you through the entire process.

If you aren’t sure what you’re doing, be very careful when cutting mature tree roots (roots larger than 2 inches). Root cutting and pruning can affect both a tree’s stability and its ability to nourish itself. Issues during root cutting can result in damage or injury.

It’s recommended you call in a pro to help, unless it’s a very small tree and you aren’t worried about the prospect of losing the tree.

It is possible to cut down a tree on your property yourself, but it is generally not recommended unless specific conditions are met. You should only consider this project if the tree is small (e.g., under 4-5 inches in diameter and short enough that you don't need a ladder to reach the branches), and you are experienced in handling a chainsaw. The tree must also be located far from any power lines, fences, homes, or other structures. Even for small trees, the work can be dangerous, and it's always advisable to have a spotter to ensure the tree falls correctly and no branches fall on you.

For any tree that is large, requires a ladder to access, or is near electrical lines or structures, you should always hire a professional. Attempting to remove a large tree yourself is extremely dangerous, poses a risk of serious injury, and could result in significant damage to your property.

Before any tree removal, it's also important to check your local and state regulations to ensure the tree is not historic or otherwise protected by your city.
