"Jamie did fantastic work taking out several shrubs, grinding down an old stump and cutting down a tree and removing the stump. We were extremely pleased with the results! I would highly recommend Jamie for tree or stump removal. We found his pricing very competitive. His response time for an estimate and then work was quick and efficient all the while communicating throughout the process. We will definitely be calling on him in the spring for our landscaping needs."

Customers say: Quick response

"This is a great company to hire for removal of unwanted trees in your yard. I needed a large pecan tree taken down and 2 other stumps ground down that another local company hadn't done a good job on. They also did a killer job on the cleanup afterwards! Very hard working people and the owner was very pleasant to chat with. I definitely rate them with a 5 star review. I'm attaching 3 pics of the areas. Hire them! You won't regret it!"

"Very professional and efficient. We had a dead tree that needed removed and no one else would do it due to close proximity to power lines and being in a dense neighborhood. He removed the tree cleanly and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg to do it. We would definitely use him again!"

"Service was great. Mowed my lawn and it looked very good. Trimmed it to the length I requested. Removed several bushes for me. Aleck did the work in a timely manner, and cleaned up the mess before he left. Very easy to work with. He is friendly and reliable. I recommend this company for all types of yard work and landscaping."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In most cases, leaving tree roots underground is not a problem if the stump has been removed or ground below the soil. However, some larger roots may decompose, leaving dents in your soil. Additionally, some aggressive trees, including willows, oaks, elms, maples, and poplars may grow back from roots. Large aggressive trees with established root systems are more likely to grow back.

If you’re taking down a tree that you don’t suspect is affected by disease or pests and it’s nowhere near your home or other structures, then calling in a tree company should work fine. However, anything more involved means an arborist is a better option. These pros have years of experience with tree removal and can safely take down trees located next to structures, and they have the tools, sanitization equipment, and experience to remove sick or dying trees without infecting nearby trees.

No. Most of the time, suckers are only a sign that the tree is experiencing stress. However, they can also be the canary in the coal mine, letting you know that something else is stressing your tree. If you have lots of suckers on your tree, calling in an arborist or a tree care expert is always a good call to determine the cause and develop a solution that de-stresses your tree.

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Most experts recommend removing a tree that has sustained more than 25% loss in the limbs, trunk, or circumference of the bark. Doing an initial trimming of damaged and dangling branches, but then waiting a few days of monitoring to decide how much more you might need to cut can help you better assess the total damage to the tree. However, consulting a tree maintenance pro to make this determination the best course of action before removing a tree.
