"George and his crew were on time and did a great job. When they left the yard looked the same as it was when they got there. They were about 70 feet tall and crew a great job. Would hire them again in a heartbeat and will again this fall for my Bradford tree in front yard."

"Perfect. Quick and orderly. Was considerate to not damage other trees. Cleaned up the yard debris afterward and returned at later date to grind stumps. I could not be happier with the service."

"These nice guys couldn't have done a better job. They came immediately to see the yard, and 2 days later they started the work- taking down a big tree and removing other dead limbs. They work hard and are very professional. I have already recommended them to other people."

"The best tree removal I've ever experienced. I had a 50+ foot maple overhanging my garage and another just as tall close by. Bernie examined the second tree and suggested that it be removed, as well, because there were indications that the "heart" of the tree had rotted. Turned out he was right. Bernie's crew arrived on time. They were courteous, efficient, and they were well-equipped. Because of the location of the trees, they had to be de-limbed before they were cut. Their Track-Lift made the operation safer than climbing and cutting. Once the limbs had been cut and lowered to the ground, they cut lengths of the tree off from the top. All well controlled, well coordinated, and safe. After that, per contract, they removed the limbs. We kept the trunks for fire wood. Then they raked the debris from the driveway and used a leaf-blower to finish the job. I couldn't have asked for better service. It was a pleasure watching them work."

Customers say: Quick response

"My grass needed mowing real bad and it was late in the evening when I spoke with Bernie and he said he would be out the next afternoon to quote me a price. He quoted a reasonable price and he was very friendly and professional and he did a nice job cutting, trimming and clean up. Bernie is a keeper for me now. I am very satisfied and highly recommend him."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.

Not all evergreen conifers need to be pruned, but some do. Pruning pine trees is not necessary, but you can do so during June and July if you wish. On the other hand, spruce, firs, and junipers do need to be pruned from late winter to early spring.

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

Surface-level tree roots might only pose a small threat, such as being a tripping hazard or obstacle when you mow your lawn. But if mature tree roots start growing in the direction of your home’s foundation or plumbing system, it could be a real problem. Cutting small tree roots out before they grow too large can keep your home safe without removing the whole tree.

Grinding down a tree helps reduce the risk of foundation damage and pests and even helps your home’s curb appeal. Stumps can also be a safety hazard. If grass grows above the stump and someone else mows your yard, they may be in for a rude awakening when they accidentally hit it.
