"I first met Santos Velasquez when we requested a quote for creating an apartment from a garage.  He was very professional and arrived on schedule.  It was a large project, building a barn to replace the garage space, and creating a one bedroom apartment in it's place.  He took pictures and notes.  Santos called within a few days and recommended we involve an architect and scheduled a time to meet her.  Again, they arrived on time.  Shari Mullins, with pillar3, agreed to make some drawings.   These proved to be exactly what we wanted! They were professional.  They always responded quickly to calls, texts and emails.  They were always here when they said they would be here.  They listened to concerns and addressed them immediately, willing to make adjustments and improvements as needed.  They put an effort into finding the best quality materials we could afford.  They kept the contractors on schedule and handled any disputes.  We didn't have to worry about anything.  It took about a year, but we love the results and have no regrets!  It did cost more than expected due to pre-existing conditions and upgrade decisions. "Currently this is a father-daughter team that work really well together.  They arrived promptly and were sure to keep me posted telephonically for work appointments.  Dave has a quick understanding of tool & assemblage requirements, even with equipment he is initially unfamiliar with.  They did not waste time in order to extend pay periods, they were efficient and a pleasure to speak with.  I would suggest sending equipment nomenclature/info so they can research operational methods before appointment; I failed to do so but they still figured it out and it works wonderfully.  Its a storage space in garage and am maxing out the weight without concern if it was installed right because I know it was.

We also were able to change scope mid-way through the project and add a glass shower door to our bathroom. Rick also made several recommendations about how to set up things to maximize our available space which we readily incorporated into our plans. Plumbing was the only thing which Rick brought in an outside contractor for and he was someone who Rick works with on nearly every one of his jobs. All other framing, drywall, tile, electrical, brick, paint, demo and installation was done by his team.
