"Thanks to Nate and Ben at Garage Experts we have a beautiful floor transformation. Replacing our laminated and linoleum floors to a marble like finish in our living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom. Wow! Can't believe what a big difference it has made in maintenance and clean ups."

"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"Vinyl Flooring Install: John is perfection. He arrived promptly at 8 am and in 2 days the whole house had a new floor. Rick had picked up the flooring for us at Home Depot and also gave us quarter round to paint prior to installation. It is best to paint the quarter round prior. I have never seen any better work by anyone in this industry. The work was exceptionally beautiful...even the caulking was amazing. And John took the time to scrape the floor (removing some old paint spots) with a scraper before laying floor. Also we cleaned the floor to remove dust prior to install. His work was neat...and he cleaned up after his job every day. Very nice!"

"No high pressure sales. I was able to take my time picking the floor I wanted. Unlike one of the other in home flooring companies. When I changed my mind on what I wanted it was no problem getting new samples. The installers were professional and did a great job. I had one small issue that was quickly addressed and fixed in a very timely manner. I would recommend them and use them again when I am ready to replace my carpet"

"We needed vinyl floor laid Mr. Velazquez and his crew were at the job sight on time and very professional. They finished the job in about half the time I expected. The job was excellent. They cleaned up before they left and left the room in fine shape. I would most definitely recommend them for flooring needs."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can put rugs and carpet on heated floors. However, carpet is not the most efficient for heated floors. The carpet pad and pile can prevent the heat from penetrating into the room. Rugs may also prevent heat from reaching your feet. You will get the most from your heated floors if you use thin rugs so that a maximum amount of heat can penetrate the room. You may find you do not need rugs to warm a space, thanks to the radiant heat coming up through your feet.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.

The average cost to install an epoxy garage floor is $2,514, with typical projects ranging from $750 to over $5,716. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $12. Several factors influence the total cost, including the total square footage, required surface preparations, the type and thickness of the epoxy, design complexity, decorative options, and labor costs. For example, an epoxy floor for a one-car garage may cost between $720 and $2,900, while a two-car garage can range from $1,100 to $4,300. Adding decorative elements like flakes can cost about $10 per 250-pound bag, and choosing a metallic epoxy can increase the price to between $5 and $12 per square foot. With proper care and maintenance, a well-installed epoxy floor can last for 10 to 20 years.

Laminate is a sturdy material that lasts 15 to 25 years if it’s properly maintained and isn’t damaged. Laminate with a higher AC rating lasts longer than laminate with a lower AC rating. For the most longevity, put laminate with an AC1 rating in low-traffic areas and use laminate with an AC3 or AC4 rating in high-traffic areas like entryways.

Contractors commonly install floors before cabinets during a kitchen remodel. It’s the standard option when installing hardwood, vinyl, and tile flooring. Installing flooring first helps prevent height misalignment, ensures a seamless appearance, and saves extra flooring work and costs if you plan to replace or remove any cabinets later.
