"We had contracted with another company to tile our master bathroom shower as well as replace our two bathroom sink tops with granite. We had signed a contract and paid the deposit to this company to do our tiling. They had subcontracted with another company to tear out our old fiberglass shower down to the studs, prepare the floor of the shower (the pan) and they were to also remove and then reinstall new faucets in the 2 sinks (master and other bathroom) and the shower, and reconnect the water to the sinks and shower. Additionally, they were to take down our old mirrors over the sinks, and remove all the towel bars, etc. Three days before the subcontractor was to come, he called and told my husband that due to a health issue his company would not be able to do the work. I called our tile/counter top salesperson to relay this information and to find out what they intended to do. I was told that “I” would have to find someone to do this work to prepare for the tile workers. I was not happy and expressed my displeasure that I was now expected to take over the project manager role. I was told again that I was responsible to find someone to do the preparation work. I’d been given Keith Weddle’s name awhile back and been told by a trusted friend that he was wonderful at redoing bathrooms. In fact my friend had seen two jobs Keith had completed at some friends’ houses and was so impressed that she had contracted with Keith to come to her house in September to totally gut and rebuild her own master bathroom. My husband called Keith, who didn’t know us from Adam, and explained our dilemma and asked if there was any chance at all he could help us. Keith saved the day for us. Despite a packed schedule of other jobs already scheduled through December, Keith fitted us in. He and his assistant spent an entire day off taking out the old shower and prepping for the tilers to fit their schedule for the job. He came several other evenings after completing a full day of work at someone else’s home to put in our new hardware, and connect the water to our sinks & shower, install towel bars, mirrors, etc. He had to be exhausted after completing a full day of work and then fitting us in and working til after 9 pm to get our house back together. In short, he saved our project, did an outstanding job, cleaned up after himself and answered our questions and made suggestions as necessary. He saved our butts! I would hire Keith again and would also use him for any future bathroom tiling, etc. Great job! Excellent value! Keith’s a kind and very competent man and does excellent work revamping bathrooms. Thanks for bailing us out Keith!"

"Ethan and Tyler did a great job. They arrived on time, covered furniture and floors to keep clean. Explained what they would be doing. Showed me drain test and what work had to be done under the old tub. Installed the new shower and checked with me on placement of the seat, grab bars and shelfs. Finished in good time and cleaned up. I am very pleased with my new walk-in shower and would recommend West Shore Home and Ethan and Tyler to anyone that needs this type of work done."

"There was someone working on the project every day. Different professionals spoke English for each job. All questions were answered, and we were updated on every issue that came up as walls were torn down or pipes exposed. I knew the price was higher than that of other contractors', but I had also seen Centennial's work firsthand from a friend who was remodeling her entire house. They are professional and reliable. We had never done a remodel, and Brent had to help us pick items and places to go to stay within our budget. We will use them again."

"Everything was amazing! Mike and Judy were very detail oriented and offered suggestions about layout. Judy was able to foresee possible problems with some of my ideas and was able to explain how we could accommodate my wishes in a more user-friendly way. She also offered ideas of features that she and her other clients had put in their kitchens or wished they had put in their kitchens. For example, she suggested that I have a cabinet dedicated to containing my wastebasket. She also warned me of features that she knew from experience had not worked out well. I had the option of having knife holders installed in a drawer. She knew that people who installed those were not happy with them. Mike made lots of suggestions about the locations of the lights and of the outlets and switches. These were things that I would never have thought about.
She took me to Indianapolis to pick out the granite for my countertop. She was able to talk the granite supplier into a lower price. Next we went to a tile store to choose my backsplash. With her help, I was able to choose a backsplash that is PERFECT. After a long day of decision making, Judy took me out to lunch, her treat.
The work was completed in a timely fashion. Both Mike and Judy made sure that I was happy with everything in the completed project before asking for my final payment. They even had an amazing gift for me. They had the granite fabricator make a Lazy Susan out of the granite that was my countertop. It is gorgeous and useful. What a wonderful surprise that was.
Judy called me a month or two after the job was finished to make sure that everything was still to my satisfaction and encouraged me to call her if I ever had a problem with any of their work.
When Mike finished the job, he cleaned up all of his work area in my garage so that it looked as though he had never been there.
Who could ask for more?? I am delighted with my new kitchen.
I plan to hire them again to remodel a bathroom.

"The process went well. The workers explained the amount of work required to get the walls in our older home shimmed to accommodate the required flat surface for the shower surround. Once that process was completed the rest of the work seemed to speed up. They asked specifically where the grab bars needed to be placed. The workers seemed to care a great deal about the outcome of their work and of the comfort for the homeowners during the process. The result is a beautiful upgrade to our existing bathroom. This was the only company of the 3 we talked to who were willing to work on replacing our flooring and toilet installations. Installation process was completed in 4 days."

Installing a marble backsplash costs about $2,200 on average, ranging from $600 to $6,000, depending on the variety of marble and the labor costs to prep and install. Common types of marble used for backsplashes include:
Makrana: $12 per square foot
Pink: $25 per square foot
Carrara: $40 per square foot
Statuatrio: $50 per square foot
Cultured: $65 per square foot
Travertine: $75 per square foot
Danby: $80 per square foot
Calacatta: $180 per square foot
Marble countertops cost $3,000 on average, ranging from about $2,000 to $5,000, depending on the type of marble, square footage, location, and whether you use tiles or slabs. Another major cost factor to consider is the grading of the marble, which determines its quality level.
Use this grading system when selecting marble for countertops:
Grade A: Nearly perfect with subtle veining
Grade B: Minor flaws such as pits, fissures, or blotches
Grade C: Minor and major flaws like chipping and cracks requiring repair
Grade D: Significant damage needing repair, with dark veining and pronounced colors
Granite and marble compare well against each other in terms of price, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Deciding which one is better depends on your personal style and preference. Both materials resist damage like chips and cracks well. You should seal both material types against staining and etching, but they’re still susceptible if oil, wine, coffee, tomato sauce, or juice are left on the countertop long enough. As material and installation costs range similarly, the deciding factor is your budget, design, and preferences.
Installing granite kitchen countertops costs about $3,250, ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the quantity and quality of the granite, use of granite tile or granite slabs, the type of granite, and its color and texture. Varieties of granite include:
Alaska white: $35 per square foot
Ubatuba: $30–$60 per square foot
Silver cloud: $35–$40 per square foot
Absolute black: $45–$60 per square foot
Black galaxy: $50–$70 per square foot
Blue Louise: $70–$100 per square foot
Crema Bordeaux: $80 per square foot
Solarius: $60 per square foot
Overall, granite tends to cost more than marble. Prices for each material will fluctuate depending on the source of the stone, your location, shipping costs, and the thickness of the material. Labor to install marble or granite countertops typically ranges from $35 to $45 per hour. Granite and marble tile and slab costs compare as follows:
Marble tile: $7–$10
Granite tile: $5–$15
Marble slab: $25–$60
Granite slab: $50–$100
