StoneSmiths provided excellent customer service as I went back and forth on which granite slabs to choose for my project and then worked with them to decide how the slabs would be cut to capture the best part of them for my vanity tops. They were very patient and nice as they pulled slabs during freezing temperatures so I could look at them. The finished tops fit perfectly and look amazing. Thank you!

Our bathroom remodel was just completed but we needed a custom Quartz 61” vanity top. Last Friday evening on our way home from work, we stopped by Stonesmith’s to find one. Thomas and Corrine helped us select the perfect top for it. We chose from their many samples that evening and placed the order. Our top was completed and installed today, only 6 days from when we ordered it. Thank you Stonesmith’s, we will be back. Everyone there were very professional and courteous. It was fantastic! This is an amazing company. No-frills, incredibly professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with . They answered questions we didn’t even know we had. We went from a Formica countertop to a quarts countertop in our kitchen. Everything from the initial picking of the stone to the laser measuring, to the installation couldn’t have gone any better. 2/3 the price of what we have here in Lafayette. So glad we found them!

Stone Smith helped us with our kitchen remodel, replacing our old tile counter top with granite. The sales experience went well, the pricing was fair, and the stone selection worked well for us. They delivered on the date promised, and the results were good. We have enjoyed our new kitchen for six months with no problems with the counters or sink.

I visited showroom to select the stone for our project. Two slabs of stone were selected and they answered all of my questions related to care and maintenance of the stone. Explained process used to prepare stone for installation. I received a call from Stonesmiths telling me that one of the granite stones had a crack. They located another granite stone of same color and sent me a picture of the stone by e-mail. I couldn't tell any difference between the new stone an the one that had the crack. I really appreciate the fact that Stonesmiths walked the extra mile to make sure that I received the product that wasn't defective. The men arrived on time and completed their work. They were very courteous and answered all of my questions. I asked if there was some type of sealer that should be placed on granite. They had already done this and said that once a year I should reseal the granite to protect stone. Sealer and be purchased at any home improvement store. I asked about care or stone, and they stated use soap and water to clean stone. Home improvement stores sell special cleaning products to clean stone. Finally they said DON'T use any bleach cleaning products on stone.

They arrived right on time. All of the workers were dressed appropriately and had smiles on their faces. They came prepared and worked efficiently to get the project done in a timely manner, answering all of our questions as they went. The only bump in the road was that one of the workers said we could still use the dishwasher as we had to wait a couple of days for the plumber to install the faucet. It did not take long to discover that we could NOT use the dishwasher. A few towels later we got it cleaned up. We just did the kitchen but there is no doubt we will use them again for 3 bath remodels we have coming up.

A realtor recommended Stonesmiths a few years ago. When we finally were ready to replace our countertops I looked them up on Angies List and was very impressed with the reviews. My husband and I went to their facility, where we met with Callie the office manager. We knew what we wanted so Callie was able to show us what granite slabs they had in stock and other options if we wanted to order. The owner arrived while we were looking at slabs and came right over to help us with our search. We were able to pick a granite they had in the shop and within minutes Callie had a quote ready for us. We also were able to schedule the measurement and install. Everyone at Stonesmiths was very friendly and helpful. And we literally were in and out within 20 minutes. The measurement went very smooth as did the installation. Everyone was friendly and professional. This seriously was the easiest/painless home improvement project with an outside source we've ever experienced. We will definitely use Stonesmith's again in the future.

Stonesmiths layed out the templates of our kitchen, bar and bath countertops on the actual slabs so we could see what we would be getting and where any seams might need to be (and make any changes necessary). They let us know when they found problems with one of the slabs so we could chose whether or not to use it (scratches in the finish, all across the slab). We decided not to use it so they took care of getting another slab brought in to use instead. Their team was great to work with and highly recommended.

This company is outstanding. The staff is very knowledgeable, professional, detailed, prideful, and friendly. They worked to accommodate my schedule and went over an above to ensure the details of the job, as well as, my experience during the remodel went smooth and pleasant. Over the years I have contracted many company to perform remodel work and I will promise this is the best experience I have ever had. Now for the results. I absolutely love our new counter tops. I participated in the slab layout process and what I really learned is Stonesmith employees layout every job as if it was their own home. They know what they are doing to make the design flow along with the best flow direction for your space. I like the counter tops more then I thought I would. Summary: You will never regret choosing Stonesmith for your project.

Went to their shop and staff was very friendly with a relaxed atmosphere but within the framework of keeping professional . Thorough on showing and describing of products, even went inside of there fabrication shop to view more samples. Price point was very reasonable for purchasing items and install of kitchen counter top with new sink and faucet a total of $ 3389.00. Did not have to do anything, all details including plumber set-up was arranged through StoneSmiths. Installers (Andy and Carlos)called prior to coming over and were very courteous, clean and neat. Was very conscientious about their work, made sure counter top was leveled, fit accordingly, seam was virtually invisible by the time they were finished also the undermount deep sink was polished. Also laid down a tarp to walk on by the access door so no dirt was tracked throughout the house. We have a "Reverse Osmosis" system and the plumber would not re-install. Stonesmith had called me after finding out that the plumbers could not complete task and was given a credit back. Future reference -double check on what the plumber is willing to do before committing or else find your own. We highly recommend this company for any kitchen, bath remodeling. They are down to earth, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very competitive in pricing. Very nice place and willing to please. Thank you for a excellent job.

Stonesmith so far has templates our kitchen and bathroom and walked us through the cutting of our selected slabs. The install is tomorrow so we will update once the new counters are installed and we have our kitchen back. We don't foresee any issues as their service has been great. Updates to follow.

We contacted Stonesmiths after receiving a recommendation from a colleague who recently remodeled his kitchen. Brandon Backer was the associate who handled our initial call as the recommended contact person was no longer employed with the company. From the start, Brandon exhibited excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in person. His follow-up was superior as well as his knowledge of the product lines, processes, and materials. The project involved new solid surfacing in a large kitchen area where imported Italian wall mosaic tiles were already in place. We chose quartz for its durability, resilience, and low maintenance. Aesthetically, it was the best material matching the look we were seeking and the existing cabinetry. Pricing for the project was less than expected. We were very pleased with the sales process and pricing hence we also hired them to install granite countertops in our wet bar area. Stonesmiths also supplied the new undermount sinks for the wet bar and kitchen areas as well as recommendations for plumbing services. The day of the install, the associates called in advance to alert us of an unforeseen situation resulting in their late arrival. Shortly after, all (3) installers started working in both, the kitchen and the wet bar areas. As typical with our home, they encountered challenges with the installation due to uneven walls, cabinet build-up, etc. yet those unexpected situations never deterred them from conducting the work or negatively impacted their attitudes. All three associates were polite, friendly, conscientious and displayed utmost professional demeanor. After starting the work at 10am, they remained in our residence until late in the evening to ensure our family will not be without a kitchen longer than initially planned. We even encountered an issue with a flange for the kitchen sink which Brandon promptly tracked to a truck conducting a delivery that evening. Without a question, we will use Stonesmiths again and again. Surely hope to have the same group of sales and field professionals handling future work in our residence!

They were very courteous. Did the estimate on a Tuesday and installed the same week on Friday. They were very nice, the price was very reasonable. We very very happy with the finished product and have recommended them to friends!

I needed to replace a marble windowsill in a shower in a historic apartment building. I spent a month searching for a company that could provide a replacement for a reasonable price. Some refused the small job at any price. Those who were interested wanted $100-$150 to cut a scrap for me. I got the Stonesmith's phone number off of a truck parked on Washington Blvd. They were friendly and while they had no marble available they were happy to offer granite in an appropriate color for $50. All I needed to do was drive to their shop and wait for them to cut the piece. I visited their clean, bright workshop and was offered several choices. My sill was cut while I waited less than 5 minutes.

First, I must say that it all has seemingly worked out fine. However, it has not been without issue. In order to get straight-A's from me, a contractor need ONLY do what they say they'll do when they say they will do it. My initial experience with Stonesmiths was pleasant enough. I love Brandon, Jon and Callie. Brandon LISTENED to me, and he went out of his way to find for me a granite slab to meet my very specific requirements. The granite arrived, and it was indeed PERFECT. Then the rest of the employees went deaf--or something. After scheduling and re-scheduling, the installers arrived on a Friday mid-morning and went to work. Stonesmiths engaged the plumber as well, to hook everything back up. I would have preferred to use my own plumber, but I was informed by the Stonesmiths owner that they like to work with their own plumber because they work together well and know how to work around each other. As it turned out, there were a lot of "issues" that needed attention. The work was done on a Friday shortly before Christmas, and I think the race was on to get it done as quickly as possible. There were issues with the work performed by both Stonesmiths and the plumber. Perhaps an extra day or an earlier start time would have resulted in a more favorable outcome. Stonesmiths initially responded very quickly to my concerns, with visits by Brandon and the owner, and subsequently the plumber. And, in time it was all finished, although I had to modify my expectations. Jon was very skillful and careful, and such a nice fellow. Poor Callie had to deliver the bad news several times as they changed and changed and changed my appointment. She was so nice, though, and she made it easy for me to agree to each new time. I should say that my daughter had a great experience with Stonesmiths when she had her granite kitchen countertops installed. They DID do for her exactly what they said they would do on exactly the time frame they promised. They cleaned up after themselves well, too. But she was fortunate enough to have Jon install hers. Cleanup at my house by the installers left a lot to be desired, but I would have cleaned up after they left anyway. I love my granite countertops, but I would probably not hire them again because it was a long drawn-out experience, and I believe that professionals should be able to do it right the first time. And they probably don't like me any more than I like them. Their price was reasonable, I think, but I did not get any additional estimates, because of the feedback on Angie's List. I won't make THAT mistake again. The job was completed FINALLY on 1/15/13.

Brandon was wonderful and very responsive to phone calls. He got us scheduled quickly for an after hours appointment and initial quote. After comparing several other companies, we liked Stonesmiths price and professional response and decided to go with them. They came for a measure and sent us a quote quickly. Their receptionist is very helpful and friendly too. We went to a large wholesale warehouse to pick out our slab from a huge selection. The only problems we had came the week of installation. They called to changed our scheduled day after having a mix-up on another job. We moved our installation back one day. On that day they did not call or communicate with us until we called them. They said it would be early afternoon, but didn't arrive until 6pm. They did get it installed by 9pm on Friday. The installation team was careful, clean, and friendly. We love our countertops!! I would use them again, but they could work on communicating better on installation day so we weren't waiting and wondering ALL day.

Stonesmiths Inc. was very helpful and professional from start to finish. They agreed to meet me after their work hours to see if we could find matching granite pieces at their granite yard. They did a lengthy search of their granite yard in an attempt to locate some scraps of granite that might match- they literally gave new meaning to the phrase "leaving no stone unturned" . They did find 3 pieces and helped me select the best one for each area. They came out and measured and then cut the granite to fit, accounting for walls that were not square and matching the edge that was used by the previous fabricator. Initially, they forgot to put the bevel edge on the window sill piece. They took it back to the shop, cut the bevel edge and then returned to my house for install. The pieces are properly sized and fit much better than (more square) than what the other fabricator had done.Stonesmiths Inc. are experts in their trade; I feel they probably do a superior job fabricating than most granite fabricators. Additionally, they offered exceptional customer service, corrected a minor problem with the instal within a matter of days. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I would give them an overall rating of excellent.

It was excellent! This is my second time using the company. They had good quality, a nice selection, and a good service.

They were great to work with. I would recommend them. He is just a great guy to work with. I think they were average in price compared to the other. It was not high and it was not low.
