"After being thorough getting estimates, I hired Forest Park Stucco to do some stucco repairs on my home, and the work they did exceeded my expectations. I'm fussy and dread dealing with contractors, but Joe was kind, caring, extremely professional and followed through on his word. His workers are true craftsman - my house's stucco pattern is unique and they matched it perfectly. If you need quality stucco work done, I strongly recommend you contact "The Stucco Man" - Joe Zerbinski… He's the very best!!"

"We had a piece of aluminum fascia trim blown off the front of our house in the recent high winds. The piece that fell to the ground needed to be replaced since it was bent up. There was also a section of fascia by the garage that needed to be re-positioned and secured, along with another small section of trim that needed to be re-secured under the siding above the garage. Austin got us a quote quickly after Paul took a look in person, and the we were scheduled within a few days to have the work done. We opted for the more expensive option of replacing the entire gable trim so it matched better instead of just the one piece. Paul did a great, efficient job in the cold and windy weather. He's a nice professional person to work with."

"We got 4 estimates and we selected Berg because we were convinced they understood the problems they might encounter and would do a proper job. Dan made a thorough review of the existing cedar and stucco panel siding. He suggested what the problem areas might be and how they would be handled. He reviewed the pros and cons of the various options we had. We decided to get the insulated vinyl siding, aluminum fascia with upgraded aluminum soffits, and new gutters. The work started on time. We were in contact every day to discuss any issues that came up. The workmanship was at a very high level. The entire job took 3.5 days. There were no outstanding issues after the job was completed. Our house looks beautiful now and we are glad we picked Berg Roofing. They were easy to work with and they had the experience to handle anything that came up. We highly recommend them."

"Quantum exteriors did a great job presenting my hail damage claim to State Farm which resulted in State Farm approving a previously rejected claim. They changed my cedar shake roof to a beautiful da Vinci roof. I am very happy with the outcome and their work and highly recommend them!"

FAQs for stucco service projects in Willowbrook, IL

Stucco is very challenging to DIY, so it’s always best to leave the work to professional stucco contractors. The same recommendation applies to painting a stucco house, which should be left in the reliable hands of a professional exterior painter. Inexperienced DIYers can make several critical mistakes during stucco application, such as:

  • Failing to apply sufficiently thick layers for longevity and water resistance

  • Uneven application

  • Uneven texture across the exterior

  • Mixing the stucco improperly, leaving a weak structure

  • Failing to texture properly in between coats, leading to cracking and chipping

Late fall is generally the best time of year for installing stucco siding. We don’t recommend hiring a stucco pro to apply this feature when the temperatures are below freezing, so it’s best to avoid applying stucco siding to your home during the winter. However, it’s safe to apply in hot and colder temperatures, so any other time of year is suitable. The spring and summer are the busiest times of year for stucco siding professionals, so you could save money by doing the work in the off-season: the late fall.

Many general contractors can handle adding stucco siding, but it’s best to hire a local stucco contractor as you’re more likely to get a clean finish on your stucco siding that maximizes curb appeal. Stucco can be a challenging material to work with, so hiring a professional contractor who has years of experience and specializes in stucco application is advisable. Compare price quotes from at least three stucco contractors in your area to find the right pro for your task.

In some cases, stucco siding will increase your home value. Stucco is an attractive siding option, meaning it maximizes your curb appeal. This exterior feature also comes with added benefits, such as being relatively easy and affordable to repair, making your home more energy-efficient, and making the exterior of your home fire-resistant. On average, you can expect a return on investment of around 70%.

The average cost of stucco siding is $5,400, ranging from $2,200 to $8,840. Stucco is worth the investment, provided you have the work done by a professional. Not only is stucco an attractive and durable siding material that boosts your home’s curb appeal, but it’s also more energy-efficient than most other siding options, it’s fire-resistant, water-resistant, and more affordable to repair down the road.
