It went fantastic. Vince is a great general contractor. He did work and brought in other professional on time and as needed. My 114 year old house is now refreshed and ready for another 100 years. The project was also brought in on time and budget

The work went great. Everything turned out like we wanted and we love our new bathroom, which was a complete gut and rebuild. The new floors are a huge improvement to the house. We are very pleased with Vince an Exterior Remodeling Inc. We have future projects we plan on using them for.

I needed 3 above grade windows in my basement replaced. The company who replaced the windows in the rest of my house would not come back for 3 windows. I contacted another basement window company, and they said the windows were too custom for them to install. Vince came out, assessed, measured and provided a fast quote. The installation happened ahead of schedule and turned out fantastic. Vince was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to match the new windows with the existing almost perfectly. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using Exterior Remodeling, Inc for other projects in the future.

Vince is extremely easy to work with. He came or called when he said he would. He cleaned up areas where he had been working. In this "virus" time, he went and picked up various tile samples from which we could choose. We are very happy with the final product in the bathroom (it looks great) besides the work he did in the family room and basement. Vince took the extra steps to make sure we were satisfied. We definitely were. He exceeded expectations. (He also works with good help.)

I reached out to Vince because he has experience on a really wide range of projects and has designed some clever solutions for other clients, and isn't ONLY a gut rehab guy or a door installer etc. He absolutely delivered! He listened to what we wanted, looked at our situation, made good suggestions about materials and design that fit our budget, then got the work started and finished more quickly than I'd dared to hope. We got three estimates, and Vince gave us the most realistic and fair (i.e. not low-ball, and not a super high "I don't want to deal with this") bid. He's a fantastic and preemptive communicator; I was never left wondering where things stood or what to expect. He and his assistant were both kind and respectful of our place during the entire job. We're thrilled with the results, and already dreaming of our next project with him.

We needed a large wall sided (23 ft x 80 ft) that had not seen new siding for probably 50 years. Parts of the wall were water-damaged with rotting wood. We needed someone who could verify the structural integrity of the wall and rebuild it as necessary before siding over, and we needed someone who could make the wall actually look nice—not easy given that it was far from flat. Parts of it had asphalt siding, parts were patched with roll roofing, there were boarded windows and a door that needed to be sided over. Every contractor who gave us an estimate looked at the wall briefly from the exterior, and wrote a bid that basically said “replace wood as needed.” Not Vince McFadden of Exterior Remodeling Inc. Vince looked at the wall inside and out. He spent significant time in our basement understanding the construction of our 1890s home. He was the only contractor who recommended fully rebuilding part of the wall—framing it out, using all treated wood—and also adding four angle iron pieces at the main beam where the cross beams are attached. His estimate was not the lowest bid we got, but it wasn’t far off from it—even though the work he proposed to do was many times more thorough. Vince maintained a very clean job site and was extremely responsive and accessible via phone or text, always letting us know what time he would arrive and telling us what they planned to get done that day. Vince took pictures throughout the construction process and sent them to us as he and his team worked. He made a couple recommendations as things came up—a gate and garage door that turned out to be smart solutions. He was on the job site every day. We are extremely happy with the workmanship of Exterior Remodeling Inc. Our sided wall looks beautiful—so much better than we had imagined it could look. We felt like Vince was truly fixing our home as if it were his own. We would highly recommend Exterior Remodeling Inc and Vince McFadden to others—in fact a neighbor is hiring him to do a bathroom remodel based on the conscientious, top-notch job he did for us!

I promised Vince I would write a super review if he really did a super job, and he did! However, I can't believe he worked on our house almost 3 years ago this August, but it's probably a great thing because our siding looks as great as the week he replaced it!! even making this a more important review. That's the key to me...how his work has held up. He did a beautiful job caulking, cleaning up, managing his workers, and was on top of communicating with us. He and his guys are professional and dependable. I would hire him and his crew without a doubt again. He replaced all our old stucco siding for a very fair price. Thanks Vince!! Hope all is well!!

Vince was amazing! Right from beginning Vince was completely professional by how he inspected the house and communicated with solution and costs. he ordered a stairway and proposed several plans we could choose from. His team did a fantastic job. I would hire Vince again for sure.

Vince contacted me from his vacation. Had me text pictures to his phone and agreed to do the job when he got back. He was very accommodating to my schedule as a showing popped up. He came early and made the repairs. The work was well done and Vince was very personable. Definitely woils hire him again!

Vince is a great guy who does great work at a fair price. We talked to several contractors who wouldn’t even give us an estimate; they just wanted to tear it down and start over. Vince used his experience and creativity to do exactly what we wanted done. Not only did we get what we wanted, but Vince went above and beyond by customizing a steel door so even the access to the porch crawl space looks great (and is also very secure). Now our porch is far more solid and looks far better than ever before. We will definitely talk to Vince first for our next home improvement/remodeling project. Thanks, Vince!

My 32 year old deck and stairs needed to be replaced. The new deck/stairs are absolutely wonderful. The quality of work is first rate. Vince is very professional and keeps you up to date on what is happening throughout the project. I would not hesitate in hiring Exterior Remodeling again.

Vince was the best. We had the entire back of our house sided and new wood steps and small porch. Also new door. Took out some large windows and replaced with smaller ones in our back room. From the start, he was easy to talk to. Vince came over and examined the job a couple of times, in detail, before giving us a quote. Made the work and job outline easy to understand. As the job was going along, he gave us honest advice and suggested a couple of changes that improved the job. Came to the job everyday, directed his crew to get everything perfect - dedicated attention to detail. Also cleaned up everyday - couldn't even tell they had been here. All this at a reasonable price. We had been looking for a contractor for quite a long time. Never felt completely comfortable and assured by anyone else. We are very happy we found Vince and will use him on all future projects. Can't recommend him enough.

Vince was amazing! It became clear from the start that Vince was a complete professional by how he communicated with us honestly and continuously. We always felt like we were on the same page and he listened to any issues or new ideas that we had. In terms of the actual work, Vince's passion and creativity created one of the most beautiful and unique decks that we've seen in our town. His design suggestions were tasteful yet adventurous and made our deck one-of-a-kind. Once the began construction, Vince and his crew worked quickly and efficiently, finishing the deck in about a week. I have a very small front porch with five wooden columns. The columns rest on limestone, and over the years water has wicked into the end grain of the wood and caused significant rotting. Lately I noticed that carpenter ants were crawling around the base of a few of the columns. I contacted Vince through Angie's List and he came out the same day. Vince observed that only one of my columns was load bearing, and suggested two columns (one to support the small porch, and another for symmetry). He suggested structural aluminum to prevent future rotting and reduce maintenance. I really liked that Vince carefully considered my situation and provided a suggestion that fixed the root cause of the problem I was facing, and I think his quote was very fair. Once I signed the contract, Vince took care of everything and let me know when the columns were ordered and when they were expected to arrive. On the day after the columns arrived it was raining heavily, but Vince came out to complete the job anyway. He removed the old wooden columns and installed the new, sanded years of dripped paint off of the limestone, hauled away all of the waste, and left the porch cleaner than he'd found it. I'll definitely use Exterior Remodeling, Inc. again. Vince is a great collaborator and took a great deal of care to provide exceptional service. I highly recommend ERI.

Everything went very well. Vince was professional, came on time, gave me a reasonable price and performed the work to my satisfaction in the time he said he would. I am glad I chose him and will do so again.

In a house that is almost 100 years old I think things went surprisingly well.

Vince and his team were great to work with. They were friendly, professional and on time. (The only delay in the project was due to 2 days of all day rain). Although we requested a simple deck design, Vince put in a lot of time and thought into making it look great with wonderful added touches to tie it in with the look of our black hollow steel fence. We love the new deck and highly recommend Exterior Remodeling, Inc.

Vince was great, he had recommendations for different price ranges, and solved problems as he found them. He was always professional and great to work with. Our neighbors said the workers were quiet and pleasant, and they cleaned up the construction area.

Vince and his team did a great job. The job was complex, requiring the removal of an old door, bricking over windows, rewiring the electrical on the back of the house, and laying out a new deck. Despite a number of snags along the way (beyond the control of Vince and his team), they completed their work in a professional and timely manner. The new mudroom and deck have made our living space much more usable. We love hosting parties on the new deck, and the cubbies in the mudroom have made keeping our kids' items better organized. They did an excellent job!

Vince identified a construction emergency. Came over to help secure the failing deck in order to help the porch from collapsing while he finished another project and secured a building permit. Done on-time, on budget, correctly, and to the exact specifications and descriptions as he had advised.

Vince and Sam worked on siding the sides of the porch and the window frames with vinyl siding. They also installed a new awning over the steps - the previous awning had been blown off by winds. They also capped the stair posts with vinyl. All debris was cleared when they finished the job. We were impressed that Vince went out of his way to "make" step railings that matched the previous railing style, because he had learned that those railings were no longer available in the store, and he wanted to keep consistent with the character of the house. He even used some of the leftover siding to create a nice overhang over the garage window. These are examples of how he goes above and beyond. It's obvious that he enjoys what he does. I wish I had taken some BEFORE pictures, because the difference was dramatic!! Vince discussed everything with us along the way, was punctual, and kept us apprised regarding scheduling.
