"Greg, the owner, came out on two occasions to discuss the crawl space and drain tile. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the crawl space industry. We had a few options and he told me about the new spray product he was using. It is this unique seamless liner that is sprayed on after preparing and insulating the area.
His crew was very professional and easy to talk to. We had some scheduling conflicts that were easy to work around and get the job done when we needed it to be finished.
The difference we noticed in the smell in our basement, the effect the insulation and seamless lining had on the air conditioning in our family room (which is above the crawl space) was immediate. We feel cooler air coming through the duct work since it isn't losing energy traveling through a non insulated space anymore and they basement smells and feels normal since the dirt and concrete is now completely covered by the new liner.
That new product is great.
Greg's company also did drain tile work in our basement. It was a different crew than the group who did the crawl space, but they were equally as professional and easy to work with. Rather than break up the job into 3-4 days they stayed late the first day to get everything ready and prepared so they could complete the job quicker. The job was done the next day. The price was very fair and the crew was extremely clean throughout thew whole process.
We now have a water tight, well insulated basement and we couldn't be happier with the results.

"This company is excellent. They saved me thousands of dollars on basement waterproofing. I assumed I needed drain tile and a sump pump installed since my basement flooded twice in the past few years. I got estimates for the job from several companies. Rather than trying to find the source of where the water was coming into my basement, the other companies just wanted to install the drain tile. High Tech Waterproofing's goal was to keep the water away from the house and discover the source . It turned out I had a huge crack in my basement wall. They fixed it at a minimal cost. "After trying to get numerous sewer and water companies to even come out so I could explain the problem I was having, and get an estimate, I finally got a response from Lincoln Sewers.  Phil from Lincoln Sewers first came out in April 2015 and ran a camera down the sewer line.  It appeared as if the sewer line had become disconnected where it comes out of the house.  During heavy torrential rains the sewers were filling up and actually flowing back into the original somewhat of a half crock overhead sewer system that was already in my house when I bought it 12 years earlier.  The water was flowing heavily back into the sump and ejector pump pits during torrential rains.  After doing my own research on what a true overhead sewer system is, Lincoln Sewers did the new sewer system which has the main pipe going out the side of the basement wall (which is a true overhead sewer system).  Overall, everything seems to have been done well.  No leaks in the pipes, and water from the house seems to be flowing just fine out to the sewer system.  Lincoln Sewers got the permit, and the city inspector from Chicago was out to inspect their work on July 6th.  The inspector informed me the work being performed was up to code.  I'll have to wait and see how the system holds up during torrential rains, but so far everything seems good.  Overall clean-up at the end of the job by the employees was good, and pretty much everyone I've either dealt with personally or on the phone from Lincoln Sewers has been helpful and professional including, Phil, Robert, Doug, and Janet.  I had contacted multiple sewer and water companies in an attempt to get more estimates, but only one other company gave me an actual written estimate and it was almost double of what Lincoln Sewers charged me.  I would recommend Lincoln Sewers to other customers.  At this time I have no complaints about this company.

"Water heater is 7 years old (nearing end of life).  Pilot light went out on Wednesday evening and we couldn't get it lit.  We called them and they would have come out late that night, but we said no, come out on Thursday.  They called Thursday morning at 9am and said they would be leaving their garage in 10 minutes, so they made it to our place by 9:30am.  Two guys came and put on booties before entering.  (I wish Comcast repairmen would do that!)  They got the pilot lit immediately, but after finding out how old the heater was plus our problems the previous night lighting it, they said the pilot might go out again very soon.  We also had that feeling.  So they wrote up 4 possibilities with their prices for us (as we had discussed going to a tankless system).  One of the options was replacing the thermocoupler for $427.  One was installing a new pilot assembly for $499.  One was installing a tankless water heater for $6000, and the last one was to install a 40 gal. water heater for $1,620.  We chose the pilot assembly, and after using the 10% off coupon that J. Blanton has on their Angie's site, the cost to us was $448.96.  We don't know if this is a good price or not, which is the reason we didn't grade the price.  The work was performed quickly and professionally.
