I called them and told them the problem I was having. I was told to send them pictures, which I did. They told me to send more pictures and I told I rather have someone come to my house so they can see the problem for themselves.Never heard back from them

It didn't. Very poorly handled with communication and sensitivity to issue at hand as communicated at outset of service order. Didn't receive a call that he wouldn't show until the time he was expected to show, and no effort to expedite a reschedule or send a replacement employee instead.
Response from High Tech Waterproofing LLC

"We apologize for your inconvenience. Due to the recent heavy rains our technicians have been swamped. The tech scheduled to see you was held up at another emergency situation that took longer than expected and he lost track of time. He tried to reschedule you for the next day with an apology for not making it to your appointment. We try our very best to accommodate all of our customers. When we received your inquiry we scheduled for the the next day to service your issue. Our on time performance and customer service is 99%. Please let us know if we can assist you in the future. Again we apologize for any inconvenience."

We have a 1920s bungalow with a cinderblock foundation and routine seepage issues.  Interior drain tile was also an option but with a partially finished basement, I think ultimately would have been more expensive after putting walls back together, etc..  And, personally i'd rather stop the water before it enters the house.  I felt as though i was getting the "cookie cutter" solution from the other highly rated angies list waterproofers and they definitely like to nickel and dime on their expensive battery backup systems.  Chuck spent a considerable more time at the house, didn't give us the BS sales presentation with all of the pamphlets, gave us a timely quote, and ultimately just made us feel the most comfortable.
The job went very well and I wouldn't hesitate to use High Tech for additional jobs in the future.  Chuck is very professional and responsive, easy to work with.  It took a while to coordinate with the excavator which is subbed out, but we were in no big rush and everything worked out great.  The job took four days.  We've had some heavy fall rains and not a drop of water in the basement.

Chuck was prompt of returning our phone call when we wanted to get an estimate and even responded back the same day with a quote. He knew what he was doing and kept us informed at every single step. The service was impeccable! They made sure to protect our main floor hardwood and to take out all the junk from the crawl space ( stuff smelt of mice pee! Ugh). They cleaned up the crawl space and foam insulated the crawl space. We asked them to foam insulate the rim joists as well since there were critters eating through the normal insulation. Now the smell in the basement ( critter pee smell) is completely Gone and smells like a normal room. Now I don't mind going down to our basement?

High Tech was able to accommodate our schedule (we needed the work done quickly).  The technician came out the next day.  He was friendly, courteous, and professional.  He worked efficiently and was accommodating when we asked for special care to avoid tracking dust from the basement up the stairs.  We are happy with the quality of the work and would use them again.  Only disappointment was we neglected to ask for the Angie's List discount.

.I researched many different options to encapsulate my dirt floor basement crawlspace from taped liners to cement, and I am so glad that I decided to go with the polyurea seamless liner that this company specializes in installing.  Josh, a company representative, came out, looked over the crawlspace,, took measurements and pictures, and the next day I received two quotes from Chuck Modica - one for the crawlspace encapsulation only and one for the encapsulation with the drain tile system and sump pump.  Chuck even made a special trip to my house to inspect the crawlspace to see if he thought a drain tile system was necessary.  Throughout the process there was no hard sell,  He  gave me the facts and answered all my questions in a confident, professional manner.  I was especially impressed when Chuck showed up with the crew to help with the job.  They removed tree roots that had grown under the foundation into the crawlspace, broke up and removed a huge bolder that had been there for some unknown reason probably for a hundred years, and even leveled the crawlspaces under my front porch which were not part of the bided project.  When I returned from a weekend trip and looked at the finished project, I couldn't be happier with the completed job.  My tenet who lives below me and does her laundry in the cemented front portion of the basement separate from the crawlspace noticed a difference in the air quality right away.  Chuck also e-mailed about a long ago disconnected pipe  that was slow leaking from an outside valve.,  He arranged the pipe so it drained into the tile system and offered to have one of his crew members who has a key to the outside drainage system come out to shut off the valve causing the leak  The company and employes go the extra mile to make sure you are a satisfied customer and I am one.

I have an apartment building in which the garden unit had previously suffered water leakage.  I had the outside sealed previously, but wanted to get the inside sealed while the apartment was empty.  Chuck came out and offered three different solutions all with various price points.  We agreed to sealing just the inside for now, and if there were future leaks, we would consider the alternate solutions proposed.  In all 6 cracks were discovered.  Chuck had the cracks sealed and each of the tie bars sealed.

I will be using them again for my other apartment units.

Chuck asked all the right questions before giving a quote and gave us multiple options to address the problem leaks. His serviceman, Josh, was courteous and professional, clean and efficient. They filled two basement cracks with the injection sealant and we are pleased with the results. I would use them again.

We have an approximately 600 square foot crawl space that
was in dire need of water proofing.  And High Tech Waterproofing did a
great job on our crawlspace encapsulation.  The bid process went smooth
and was straightforward.  The bid was around $5500 with no real
upselling.  We had a few foundation cracks that were sealed, some train
tile installed,  a backup sump pump system with battery installed, a
thick(40-50 mil) poly liner laid over the gravel surface with no seams, and 2?
of spray foam insulation sprayed over the exterior  foundation walls.
We had a tight schedule to get the work done and Chuck and
his team were very courteous and professional and worked with us to accommodate
our needs.   They worked efficiently and thoroughly and did a good
job cleaning up after themselves when the job was completed.
I would highly recommend them and would certainly use them
again.

Chuck came out go over our issue, which was water coming over the top of our foundation and explain options to us.  He promptly emailed us a quote and emailed to follow up with us a few days later to see if we had any questions.  Once we sent in our contract and deposit the work was performed the following week.  They applied a polyurea coating to our exterior. They missed doing a small area that we discussed but promptly came out the next week to once the rain subsided to do the small area that was missed.  We were very pleased with the work performed.  Chuck was super responsive and kept us informed of everything.  We would definitely recommend HighTech Waterproofing.

Chuck is a consummate professional. After a ton of research into my water problem, I decided polyurea was the right solution. It's a newer technology but very convincing. Chuck even helped with his carpenter in sealing underneath wood siding and replaced the siding beautifully. Hi Tech was very responsive and got the job done efficiently. There was one area that needed a touch up after be job but Chuck responded immediately and is addressing it. I really can't speak highly enough of him- too many contractors are "get in, get out" but Chuck really cares about his work and follows up often. He takes a consultative approach that is second to none, I am extremely comfortable trusting him as I feel he is doing the best thing for the customer, not his own pocketbook. Fighting water issues is no fun and Polyurea is a long-term, but newer, solution and I hope it turns out well, but so far so good from the install side and would recommend High Tech highly as long as Chuck is running the operation.

This company understands customer service.  My call was returned immediately and was able to have someone out to issue a quote within days of contact. We received a quote and had the work done within a week.  We have had all the big name companies out to give us quotes and High Tech Waterproofing provided a better option. Their quote was more cost effective, involved no hazardous fumes, no stud removal (that others had requested), and still included a warranty.  I am thankful thankful that I ran across their review on Angie's List. We've yet to have spring rains to test the job done, but I feel very comfortable with our choice.  I would recommend this company to any one.

They arrived promptly, and got right to work. They maintained a good work pace. If they encountered a minor obstacle, they informed me and gave me my options. They cleaned up the area very well before leaving. The company that cleaned up the debris left on plastic sheeting on the lawn did a poor job (it was a contracted hauling service). I called High Tech and they were out very quickly to clean up the mess, and even offered to put sod where the grass might have been exposed to concrete dust and other particles. They were friendly and professional. Their sales person seemed very honest and seemed to bend over backwards to please me. I would recommend them to a close relative, friend, or neighbor in a heart-beat!

Highly recommended.  We had a rodent problem in the crawl space due to a gap in our foundation which communicated with the garage.  This also allowed freezing air in.  Jason came out promptly and gave me an estimate.  He was very honest in his assessment and a competitive price in comparison to other estimates.
His crew came out and banged out the project around our schedule.  He even gave us real time updates via text of their progress and when it would be safe for us and the kids to return home.
After installation, we noticed a small water leak from a pipe.  Jason responded immediately to our texts and scheduled to come investigate the problem to see if it was related to a vent he placed for conditioning (which it was not but a small leak we had the entire time!).
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company due to their excellent customer service and quality/pride in their work.  Avoid the 'big businesses' and go with these guys.  Also, our 1st floor kitchen in den are much warmer and there has been zero rodent activity!

Jason was prompt, and always responsive. He was able to get out to our house during the holiday season to give us a quote for encapsulating our crawlspace, and he was able to turn around the quote quickly, and to start work soon after that, at a competitive price. The crawlspace looks great. It no longer smells, and we will now be able to use it for storage.

For initial contact, Jason came on time, spent an hour trying to diagnose problem.  It was difficult because walls in crawl space are covered with spray foam.  He submitted a preliminary proposal.  I requested another meeting to discuss options and review  the proposal.  Jason readily agreed.
In our next meeting Jason did additional investigation, finding a gap in the wall that could not be seen from inside because of the spray foam, and identified another potential source of leakage.  Submitted proposal to patch the gap, and in the other area to remove spray foam as required to locate the source of leakage, patch the crack(s), and reinstall the spray foam.   Proposal was accepted and the work performed on time, and of good quality.
Unfortunately, a heavy rain revealed that we had not found all leak sources.  The crew came back in reasonable time, patched another gap in foundation, and removed spray foam in a second area to find an additional crack which had not been patched correctly by the previous owner.  This crack was patched correctly and spray foam reinstalled.  After the next rainfall, there has been no evidence of further leakage.
There was no additional charge for the second repair session, as it was covered by warranty.
I am very satisfied with the quality of the work, the promptness of scheduling, and the followup communication.

My husband and I looked into crawlspace encapsulation because our house would always have a musty odor despite keeping our home clean.  Then we realized that we had another problem that needed to be addressed.  We had high moisture which resulted in very wet foundation walls.  We felt if we left it untreated, it would eventually become a larger, more expensive problem resulting in dangerous mold growth.  We received quotes from several companies and eventually decided on High Tech Waterproofing. Our main reason for choosing High Tech was because of our experience with Jason.  He was personable, honest and willing to work with us delivering several quotes for different options and willing to work with us on price.  It's refreshing that HighTech sincerely cares about their customers and doing a quality job.  High Tech is also one of the only companies to offer a completely seamless solution for our crawlspace, offering the Polyurea liner and spray foam insulation.  Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend them for your musty, damp, scary crawl space!  Also, now that the crawl space walls are insulated the house feels warmer and has a more even temperature throughout.
