"We purchased our home with a master bedroom that was down to the studs. The room had never been worked on since the previous owners tore it apart two decades ago. We had hired a contractor based on a recommendation by a realtor, and quickly realized that the work was never going to be completed. It was excuse after excuse! One of our new neighbors had just had some work done and told another neighbor about it. The contractor was the Handy Vet from Fox Lake. We gave them a telephone call and Kevin came out immediately to give us an estimate. We hired him on the spot! The guys dry-walled the entire room, finished the ceiling, installed our laminate floors (they had to level the floor before they could install the flooring), tore up glued down and nailed down parquet flooring and leveled that flooring prior to installing the flooring, finished three closets ... AND put a wood ceiling in for us! We are planning on having The Handy Vet come back again to do some more work. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone! Plus ... We decided to get a new puppy in the middle of the construction, and the guys fell in love with her, too! They were extremely patient with our "training" of little Sammie! We have lots of pictures if anyone would like to see their work."
